Ruin a Musical by adding exactly one word at the end

I think that would have improved it.

AITAH for wanting to divorce my husband after he left our newborn and toddler with our teenage daughter while he went out with another woman?
 in  r/AITAH  1d ago

NTA. Your husband put your kids in danger. A young teen should not be left to care for a newborn for several hours. That's a recipe for shaken baby syndrome.

AITAH for telling an elder woman to “Get the f**k on” after holding up the only open line?
 in  r/AITAH  1d ago

As someone who has worked as a cashier: I think you need to get out more.

Girls from 2014 -2017? You mean Gen Z?

It's not a problem, lol. It's a style. If you google Mariah Carrey, Britney Spears, Taylor Swift at 20 years old, they look like 20 year olds. When you google Kylie Jenner, Sabrina Carpenter, and Millie Bobbie Brown they look much older. And I believe it is due the the heavy contouring trend that became popular with the Kardashians.

I don't think the problem is reading comprehension on my part. You have extrapolated my one sentence and assigned an entire philosophy to me. I didn't say looking like a 40 year old is a bad thing. I didn't even say looking like a middle aged divorcee is a bad thing. I said that's their style choice in response to "how does she look even older than her mom?"

Again what bad thing did I say about a specific group of people, a style critique?

Oh, I get it now. The bad things I have said were imaginary.

I do believe heavy contouring is one of the defining style markers of Gen Z, yes. Now how am I disparaging 40 year olds?

I am ageist against all the ages who have used heavy contouring?

I didn't say Gen Z invented contouring, but they certainly popularized it for regular wear. Also, it is not ageist to critique a style? Get a grip.

Well, since my response was in reply to "why does she look older than her mom" and not "why does she look like an adult" and in response to "how is makeup today unique from other generations who have used makeup before?" Yes. Contouring to change the shape of your face and make you look like you have had a lot of plastic surgeries and fillers is a new trend and it makes young people look like middle aged women who are working on their second face.

AITAH for telling my wife we either share our lotto winnings or we separate and I get half anyway?
 in  r/AITAH  4d ago

NTA: She is being selfish. You are a team; the lotto winnings should be for both of you. I can't imagine winning the lottery and not sharing with my husband. Obviously you are not a gold digger if you were with her before she won the lottery. And legally you would absolutely be entitled to half.

Heavy contouring with makeup is unique to gen Z.

Which actor/actress career or even movie franchise is this?
 in  r/moviecritic  4d ago

As a massive Harry Potter book fan, I disagree. I was hoping the new series would correct the plot holes and inconsistencies left by the movie franchise.

What do most people fail to consider when trying to lose weight?
 in  r/AskReddit  5d ago

I disagree with this. Exercise is so much more than burning calories; it affects your hormones and your metabolism, which changes the way your body stores fat and burns calories. I know so many middle-aged women who starve themselves counting calories and get nowhere because they are not exercising regularly, which wrecks their metabolism. On the other hand, people who eat junk and drink soda every day, but are always on the move, getting exercise, or going to they gym are keeping fit. Of course, doing both would be the most ideal.

That is the makeup style today. Young people like looking like middle-aged divorcees.

How old are you guys? Are you an OG watcher or Hulu binger?
 in  r/PrettyLittleLiars  6d ago

39 OG, some of y'all are way too young to have been watching this show. My daughter is 13, and I wonder if she is ready.

Any series on Netflix that just leave you feeling really bad?
 in  r/netflix  6d ago

This one pissed me off. That social worker (supervisor?), who blamed the teacher for pretty much not kidnapping him after she already reported several incidents of suspected child abuse. Trying to blame the teacher for their incompetence.

I love that these replies are like my stream of conscious. That also stuck out in my mind too.

What’s a movie cliche that you’re most tired of seeing?
 in  r/movies  8d ago

For me, it's the mid-day sun streaming through the windows over a family having a long leisurely breakfast before going to school/work.
