Lisa Su says Radeon RX 9070-series GPU sales are 10X higher than its predecessors — for the first week of availability
 in  r/technology  14d ago

I laugh at anyone who's so cucked by late capitalism that they think having a remotely functional supply line is a ridiculous expectation of a company worth $172.48 billion (let alone $2.94 TRILLION in the case of nvidia)

The Tesla protests are working.

If you can't see how tanking tesla's stock price IS protesting this corrupt govt, then you're not taking crazy pills, youre just taking stupid pills

Windows 11 will soon be able to explain why your PC needs more RAM and a better GPU
 in  r/technology  21d ago

A "steam os" is completely pointless. All we actually need is a subsystem that lets us play windows-only games

Edit: Proton doesn't work for a lot of multiplayer games. Large number of AAA games are not compatible because of their anticheat systems.

The goal is putting basic science purely in the hands of moneyed interests. They want research institutions to be even more at the mercy of billionaire philanthropists' whims and priorities

 in  r/therewasanattempt  Nov 06 '24

Lmfao you are literally delusional. They had massive momentum and cumpletely fumbled it by sprinting to the right from the DNC onward. Launched the campaign saying "these GOP mfs are weird losers" then proceeded to spend every waking minute trying to court those weirdos while spitting in the faces of their entire progressive base

Kick streamer dined and dashed a homeless woman at Kennedys steakhouse in the 5th street market
 in  r/Eugene  Oct 26 '24

Becoming houseless is one of the worst fates a person can suffer here in the developed world. It is an incredibly dire situation that often results of uncontrollable circumstances such as medical debt or being layed off during (for example) a global recession or a catastrophic global pandemic. More often than not, it produces an inescapable cycle of debt and sorrow in and of itself. And you have the audacity to denegrate these people for becoming addicted to substances and trashing the public spaces of a society that has utterly forsaken them? Shame on you.

Measure 118 & Cancer Care -Say no to 118
 in  r/Eugene  Oct 19 '24

Yeah...that's kind of the point. Bankruptcy is obviously preferable to death, which is why it is so detestable that these corporations charge such exsorbitant prices to treat a terminal illness.

If someone robs you at gunpoint and you hand over your wallet, do you then thank them for saving you from the bullet?
