It is a shame that it went under the radar. I hope it gets more attention, especially once a Season 2 and/or spinoff gets greenlit (hopefully).
More broadly, it would be interesting to see Snyder develop an animated corner of works at Netflix over time.

In September 2024, Snyder said that discussions for a second season were underway.
We definitely are talking about it. We know what we want to do, and we're all excited about a potential season 2, so we'll see. Of course, [we've talked about it]. We're well on our way, so we'll see what happens.

It is speculation and rumour, with no credible corroboration at this point - so it remains to be seen whether it is true or not.

Indeed they could - in fact, there have been many fan projects already, and will likely be more.
However, none of them can be a true equivalent to a continuation from the artists themselves.

In some shape or form, I believe it may happen one day - even if not as a fully-fledged feature film, but perhaps in a novelisation/screenplay, graphic novel or an animated project.

u/Great-Wash-1840 Just to be clear - are you asking for candidates to co-direct a film alongside Snyder, or for them to support Snyder in a different way (e.g. producer, writer)?
Because if the former, that is quite rare in filmmaking, including for CBMs. As for the latter, it would be interesting to see director Snyder reunite with Nolan producing - or for him to work with Justin Kuritzkes (Challengers, Queer, Sgt Rock) or Aaron Sorkin (Molly’s Game, The Social Network).

If Sweeney was who you had in mind though, you could have just mentioned her.
Even if you did not intend it as such, saying “Some actress with big breasts and ass” is needlessly reductive and offensive - also rather vague as a response to the question.
Sweeney would be a great choice though.

There is indeed an extended cut - but as Snyder himself admits it does not reflect his true vision so he would prefer to do another edit.
Think how Ridley Scott had a ‘director’s cut’ of Blade Runner which he disowned in favour of the ‘Final Cut’.
Also think of how the ‘extended cut’ of David Ayer’s Suicide Squad is not the fabled Ayer Cut.

“The only movie I would change is Sucker Punch, because it never really got finished correctly,” he tells Empire. “Even the director’s cut is not really the correct cut. It’s really just an extended version. If I had the chance, I would fix that movie.” What exactly that ‘fix’ would involve remains to be seen, but the film – revolving around a group of women, led by Emily Browning’s Babydoll, trying to survive within a sadistic institution by mentally escaping into fantastical worlds – wasn’t well received on release.
Whatever Snyder has in store for Sucker Punch, he has what he needs to complete his cut – he just needs permission (and resources) to do it. “I have the footage already shot: they just have to let me put it together,” he says. “We ask every now and then. We have to ask again. I think there has to be a window when no-one’s got the movie.” Given the success of previous fan movements, we may see Zack Snyder’s new-and-improved Sucker Punch one day. “If they want to start a campaign, that’s alright,” he says. Your move, Babydoll…
In short, Snyder wants to and the footage is there - he just needs WB’s permission to create a new cut.
