Why the fuck are people always using firearms against zombies, instead of axes and machetes? The gunshot sound just attracts more zombies and ammo runs out quickly.
 in  r/shittymoviedetails  14h ago

Depends on the infection and disease

If a simple scratch can infect, you prefer distance like you get with a firearm,

why would you gamble with survival when its what youre fighting for

They something can't happen. In totality. It's not an argument, it's 2 examples of where it does occur.

It wouldnt be a great argument if flerfs said "water cant be round without surface tension"

They think surface tension is another fake science buzzword.

Im not denying your question is better but you have tk start with the brass tacks for people completely ignorant of the reality. They dont believe in the word orbit, the believe in the word balloons on satellites.

Lol its not the logical game with them so its probably a good question that would stump most flat earthers if asked live and without assistance of chatgpt or google

The implications, a gnostic society that doesn't wish to partake

(Gnostic in the sense of having hidden knowledge that you have to prove your worth for)

Was the exact location where the giant Congo Snake photo was supposedly taken ever found? If it hasn't, what would you say is the most likely spot?
 in  r/Cryptozoology  12d ago

Its funny how dune worms get called theoretically possible, much larger than this alleged snake, but a snake larger than 20-25ft, gets called impossible.

Im sure the science backs it up but still found it a funny way to look at it

Your body is a carbon machine with limitless potential (I sound insane I know but I’m just speaking facts)
 in  r/enlightenment  12d ago

We assume to exist, due to the data/stimuli we interpret with no scales or metrics to verify accuracy.

Can anyone tell if theyre completely catatonic and lost is a vicodin pudding induced haze? There's no way, yet.

We (currently) seem to live in a reality tailored to the limitations of our biology. Our brains do not seem to show us the universe as it is, rather they show us a simplified, survivable approximation of it; another assumption, but my claim asserted recognition of biological limitations. If we can recognize borders even if but metaphorical, we can measure capacity and hypothesize upon potentials. Thats really it.

You can't claim knowledge of a soul without explanation if you're expecting your claim to be genuinely considered for thought.

You don't know a soul exists, you believe it does.

You could be exactly right, i can't claim whether it does or does not because i recognize the impossibility for any human to have objective, shareable evidence passed along to another human without the other party having to acquire faith of the words said.

We don't know if we're a brain in vat of acid that offers the stimuli to create the worlds we find ourselves in

Or if there is this

Or if there is that

We assume, we have faith and we believe in what we do to live functioning lives. All three things of which require ignorance, otherwise its wouldn't be assumptions faiths or beliefs. It would be shareable knowledge.

For your solace, i hope a soul exists so you can realize everything i said doesn't lean in one way or the other, merely am hoping you identify your own limitations as the human you seem to be.

You don't know a soul exists, you may wish to claim so, regardless of the reason i hope you understand every humans current impossibility to "know"

This is what I assume and i'm just following logic

I think the lead singer of that band did something very similar to this before blowing his brains out, the band that took photos of their singers corpse and made it an album cover. I dont think its possible to the degree at this video but some trivia about that case has me thinking i remember the vocalist tore out his arteries or something

Safe half way stopping point between TX and FL to crash?
 in  r/roadtrip  Mar 06 '25

Mobile will have a fun tunnel* that goes under the city, well fun to a texan; dont see too much of those.

Honestly i've made the same trip multiple times, theres a lot of safe places, just big cities have bad areas.

Personally, if i were you, start looking up cities you'll go through on crime statistics, look at hotel/motel reviews if you can afford, get an idea. I wouldnt stop in baton rogue or atlanta but louisana just has a lot going on.

Like shreveport, is there unorganized crime and shootings? Sure but its fairly large, and lotta people from tx go there for the casinos, so if theyre coming back, usually empty handed. You gonna make it.

Pre-book a hotel that looks safe in a city you searched, and you'll be okay i hope

If you can make it to texas just stop in longview or tyler, your quantified safety would skyrocket compared to lousiana but its not a bad state.

Sam Altman: AI says consciousness is fundamental…
 in  r/HighStrangeness  Mar 05 '25

"Since all experience directly proves awareness itself"

Nope. I mean always maybe, anything's possible but it's stated poorly. If there be consciousness, lets refer to whatever it may be as 'you.'

All other stimuli, from all senses, exist merely as interpretation, what you're able to make of it all.

That infers the inherent quality of ignorance that we cannot, yet, surpass.

Epistemological Nihilism, (no other branch is being referred too here) exists as the limitations of our capacity for knowledge, if there can be.

Is it reasonable to assume, awareness itself suggests consciousness exists? Yes? No? The answer doesn't matter only BECAUSE we are assuming.

We have no tangible nor feasible forms of testing for reality against 'non-reality.'

We're limited and forced into subtle systems of belief that the stimuli we receive helps us find moments of comfort in, sometimes, for some people; some people agree its a reality we share but it's still built off of either belief, faith or assumption that the data you're interpreting is accurate.

None of us can prove we're not deluded at the ward and dreaming of this comment section in a Vicodin-pudding induced form of catatonia.

Just the same as the unfortunate side of the spectrum for schizophrenics have a hard time differentiating their delusions from reality, just as much as they have to believe its fake to live functionally in this world, we equally have to believe this world is real to also live functionally.

Never, or not yet, removing the component of ignorance, it's all built off subjectivity, what you believe.

Hope for more. Hope for anything, idc but following logic alone, i think it makes sense. Another assumption:b
