Trump administration backtracks eliminating thousands of national parks employees
 in  r/NationalPark  Feb 21 '25

They have an army of elite lobbyists who want to have their own billion dollar mansion next to Yosemite falls or to pump for oil in Zion.

Or Trump will just let them do it cause he's a scumbag, maybe he wants a golf course in Yellowstone

Trump has just signed an executive order claiming that only the President and Attorney General can speak for “what the law is.”

Coming of age movies: Yay or Arrest the director?
 in  r/okbuddycinephile  Feb 18 '25

You don't watch this movie and go "wait children doing children things" and paste your adult theme onto it. YOU alone doing that and then get to call the director bad.

I'm not going to bat for Hollywood in general here but I didn't watch this movie just to go white hat pedophile over it.

Just a kid picking his nose that's what they all do. Take a peak out of your basement dungeon once and a while and you'll see,

Also you can't eat them, the kids I mean. Don't try eating them when you finally come out

If Trump and his administration continue to ignore orders from federal judges and turn this country into an illiberal democracy like Hungary or even a dictatorship, do you think New York and other “liberal” states can feasibly secede rather than comply with all of his executive orders?
 in  r/newyork  Feb 11 '25

You really don't want to secede here, Balkanization here would produce the same results as in eastern Europe. If you secede then they get to bomb NY and instead of killing other Americans it's "the enemy" see; Ukraine

Need help unplugging
 in  r/stupidpol  Feb 11 '25

I think one thing you need to realize is that if it all goes to shit it was going to happen anyway and you're not really responsible for it.

You sound like you're trying to plan ahead and that's good but in this situation it's too early to tell exactly what will happen. There is still a massive institution in place that wants the status quo to continue and will not comply with radical attempts to turn the country on its head.

And in the worst case like I said it's not up to you, nor would it be your fault if it were to all go to shit and you were not prepared. Just is no preparing for a collapse unless you're a billionaire and can have bunker built or some dumb shit.

 in  r/stupidpol  Feb 11 '25

Ahh yeah, even if this were so guess you should throw up your hands and say "Gee Wiz, guess nothing can be done" Rather than taking some fucking responsibility and trying at least to change the condition. Just lay down and die then

Chiefs’ Hopkins: ‘Are y’all gonna talk about the refs now?’
 in  r/DenverBroncos  Feb 10 '25

Well and that's what the Eagles just did too, they seem to have a real good front office since I didn't even tag them as being that competitive this year and they made the damn Superbowl
