Posts being removed that announce public gatherings
Why? Today there is a public gathering at the Civic Plaza at 2pm. People have been trying to announce it on this sub, only to have the announcements removed because the event is political in nature. Is this a new subreddit rule?
Edit: This is the post that was removed. NOTE: I just now added the red line to the word pr*t*est just in case that terrible word triggers the bots.
Second Edit: The image was deleted again. Let's try this again.

Because it's spam and the accounts usually posting them have no merit. There's no need for multiple threads for a single event; it causes confusion.
If we want to be taken seriously we need to be organized, and drop-shipping posts of unvalidated events and the meaning behind these events is the problem. The internet (especially reddit) has and will be continually used to sway ideologies for the benefit of confusion. So having a whiteboard with anyone's flier is just a trash dump.
