You really need to learn to read the data for yourself and make conclusions by going through the critical thinking process brother... AI is a tool when used right but you can't just take whatever it spits out without thinking
no they don't "think"... what these LLM does is just predict the most likely next word based on the context.. think of it as a very large autocomplete... it's amazing how much it can do ofc but you shouldn't think the current AI as having any real cognitive abilities

It is very close to a turing test. You can ask it any question and it will come back with a very reasoned answer that is better and more inclusive than what the average human can come up with? Like everything in life it comes down to semantics and what do words mean or the meaning of words. What is cognitive ability? How do you define “think”?
You can't use AI without thinking due to things like; try googling "can you drink coffee 8 days a week?"
It will come back and tell you "yes." They might have fixed the wording on it after the time it got memed on - but if it will fuck up on something as simple as days of the week, then what chance has it got to get critical financial information correct?
