Basically what it says. We ran out of pet food earlier than we expected and payday isn’t until Wednesday. Plus our car is leaking coolant (can’t fix that until payday either!) and we need to buy some extra (yes I know you CAN use straight water but it’s really not great for your engine and I don’t want to cause more issues).

So, I'm having some apartment troubles. TLDR; the upstairs neighbors have been harassing me, I have a very non-attentive landlord that plays favorites, and I'm starting to lose sleep because of the amount of dangerous situations I've been in due to this place.

I know I probably should leave, but I also have no clue what is the most financially viable option. In June I'll be getting a refund from a financial aid package for school. I also applied for SNAP, medicaid (approved), and TANF/EBT.

I'm unsure if I should stay because it could be the cheapest option for me, or if I should find alternative options. Moving back with parent is not an option for me.

Yesterday was a tough day for me. I surrendered my dog. My health is just getting worse and I can’t give her the care that she needs and deserves. My heart is just hurting so badly. I keep second guessing myself. I miss her so much I can’t seem to stop crying. Will I ever feel better about what I did? Does she hate me? I keep thinking about how scared she must be. I don’t really know why I’m posting.

As you can see in my post history i am dealing with mental health issues. Truth is that for a big part they are caused by my family issues. My parents have been abusive all my life. To make a long story short, I left my family house/got kicked out (it was kind of a moment where we both knew i couldn’t stay longer). I knew I had to live my own life or I would stay in this cycle of abuse and psychological issues forever. I need to finish my studies. I need to go on with my career. The police had to get involved and I am now couch hopping while saving as much money as i can.

I have found a serious job, which starts next month and pays well for someone my age. I just started working a supermarket job just to save as much money as possible for example next year’s tuition (I took a break from school). I am nor asking you guys to pay my rent, or tuition or anything. I just need to move closer to my job before it starts. There are appartments available but I will have money again next month and the month after that is when i make serious money, finally.

I have saved $600 but i need at least another $1000 if i want to survive getting a new place to live this month. I will get paid in like 3 weeks but by that time I am working. All i am asking is $500 (or more if you are willing) so that i can afford the deposit, the rest (living expenses etc) I will be saving by myself. I am also doing online tutoring, looking for some freelance tasks etc. Just for things like groceries.

This job is super important to me as it is the first major step into reaching my career goals. I really need to move in before the end of this month.

Im short $125 for my rent that has to be paid today and I’m starting to panic because I thought I would have figured it out by now and I haven’t. I didn’t mean to wait until the last minute I just really believed I would have had my taxes by now since Tuesday will be 3 weeks that I filed them . I would like to ask your assistance to cover my dad's hospital bills, which have spiraled out of control. He experienced a stroke last Christmas, 25 December 2024. He spent over a month in the ICU and had a few operations done on him in an attempt to save and improve his life. He had a tube attached to his head to relieve the pressure on his brain, had a tube on his throat for air, and a tube straight to his intestine to ingest food as his stomach had stopped working. All of this has cost a lot of money, and my family is now in debt. He no longer has insurance as he is a senior, and our government services can only shoulder so much. What's worse is that he is still stuck in the hospital right now due to an ongoing fever, so the bills are only ever increasing. My family and I have already decided to stop giving medication as one, we can no longer afford it, and two, we do not wish to extend my dad's suffering. However, these bills aren't going away and he can't be sent home without us paying a certain amount. Offering a promissory note requires that we surrender collateral that we do not have.

I have never felt so helpless and desperate. The past few months have felt like we've been paying a subscription to have a little time with my dad. I humbly ask for your help as the youngest son of a very good dad. I at least want to be able to tell him that we'll be okay and that he can pass peacefully without lying. I’m in a rut right now. Still trying to recover from a $5000 car repair last year. Roommates have been refusing to pay me for utilities, I’m out thousands at this point from that alone. Every time I try and bring it up they play victim and start yelling at me. I’m eating ramen and bread everyday at this point and still barely making my bills.

I travel about 70 miles round trip. I just need to make it until Tuesday morning which is about 210 miles. Then I’m off and won’t have to go anywhere and payday is Wednesday. I think $30 should cover it. My car is at about 26.5mpg.

Hi, my name is Julia and me and my partner have a lovely dog, a Staffie cross called Luna.

We have recently discovered Luna has been diagnosed blind in one eye. She also has severe inflammation in her cornea, and it is probable that she will need her eye removed and further surgery for her eyes and teeth, as well as (likely several) hospital stays. When we realised this, our hearts broke. This requires travel to a hospital far away from me in the outskirts of Edinburgh, and as I cannot drive due to my epilepsy, means we are paying for taxis which are a significant cost. Luna is quite an anxious dog and struggles with long bus journeys. her anxiety is something we wish to work on when she has had her surgery, however again is a financial strain, hence we have decided on this GoFundMe.

Luna is a great dog, she is sparky and full of life. She has been there for me at my lowest and also saved my life when I had a seizure, despite not being a trained seizure alert dog.

We do not want the worst to happen however we are very much struggling with the large vet bills and the transport bills, so have decided to open a gofundme.

I hate to be in this situation, and need help, but I’m at the endgame right now. I am behind on my property taxes and at high risk of losing it at auction in June. I am in need of $1500 to help me save it.

My backstory is, I was caring for my elderly Uncle at his house and the house caught fire, he passed way, I lost my 4 cats and most of everything I owned there. That was 2 years ago. Hey, guys. I am a federal employee who was fired last month as part of DOGE's cuts to the federal workforce. I have since been reinstated, however, my health insurance will take 4-6 weeks (!) to become active again, and I am unable to refill my Eliquis, which I take for my DVT. Out of pocket without insurance is $600, when I'm otherwise able to only get it for 10 with insurance and a co-pay card.

Found this out today, and of course, it happened just a day after my car had all kinds of trouble with a fuel pump issue. Paid what little savings I had to get that repaired, only to be told I can't refill my meds without paying this $600 today.

Just a timing issue more than anything, but unfortunately, Eliquis isn't something I can wait on. Blood clots are pretty severe in my legs, and they could break off and go to my lungs if I don't get my meds.

Anyways, just seeing if there's anyone out there who could possibly help. I hate resorting to this, but it's just been gut punch after gut punch these last few months and I'm out of options.

I can provide proof, if needed (and expect as much, of course!). Just trying to make it through this 4-6 week period before my health insurance is restored.

Changeling tumbled into our lives in a very unexpected way. A friend’s cat had kittens, and for weeks, we would have to return them to their nest, as mama loved to carry them all over the house.

One day, as we gathered and counted the kittens, my friends indicated we were done, but one kitten was still missing. There should have been three grey kittens, but there were only two.

No one else remembered a ninth kitten, but I was certain there was one missing. Searching the room, I heard a faint mewing from deep within a shadowy crack in the closet wall. I reached in and pulled out a tiny, dirty kitten no one else had ever seen before. My friend swore that the crack had never even existed, in a closet she used daily. This kitten had ghostly dilute calico fur, diminished sight and hearing, and seemed to have appeared from nowhere. And so, she became our Changeling.

Changeling recently began having seizures, and after ruling out other possibilities, a brain tumor is the predicted cause. Hearing that diagnosis, we feared we would lose her within days. Yet, the seizure medication our vet prescribed has given us hope. Though she isn't quite back to her inquisitive and intrusively affectionate self, the medication has helped stabilize her. Now she needs a neurology consultation at the University of [redacted] Veterinary Medical Center to determine what we can do to give her more time.

We are also still recovering from Hurricane Helene, which upended both our personal lives and the local economy. My husband, a tour guide, was sidelined with a serious spinal injury, and the storm's aftermath brought layoffs to his company. We've managed to stay afloat with the help of family, social safety nets, credit cards, and loans, but the cost of Changeling's continued care is more than we can take on alone.

On Saturday, March 29th, our sweet dog Camper had a terrifying and sudden brush with death. We came home to find our floors covered in blood. It was coming from Camper, and within moments, we rushed her to the emergency room. The vets discovered a massive internal growth had ruptured, causing severe internal bleeding. We were told we had arrived just in time. If we had hesitated even slightly, we could have lost her at home. Camper just celebrated her 4th birthday a few weeks ago…she was healthy, vibrant, and full of life, doing happy zoomies on our neighborhood baseball field just that morning. Routine checkups and bloodwork had all been normal. Because dogs don’t usually receive internal imaging until they’re at least 5, there was no way to know a tumor had been silently growing inside her.

Initial X-rays were grim. The doctors feared an aggressive cancer that had already spread, and Camper urgently needed multiple blood transfusions just to stabilize her overnight. There were no guarantees, but we had no time to wait. Surgery was her only shot. We told ourselves, if this is rare... maybe her survival will be rare too.

And she made it. Our strong, resilient girl survived the surgery. The team was able to stop the bleeding, remove the main tumor, along with her left kidney and spleen and secure her stomach to her abdomen wall. We now rely on her right kidney to carry the load, and we’re monitoring her closely for signs of normal function. The tumor has been sent for biopsy, and the results will tell us whether Camper has months or years ahead of her, and whether chemotherapy is part of her future.

This week has shaken us to our core, emotionally, mentally, and financially. We’ve had to make impossible decisions in a matter of minutes, and while we knew we were taking on a huge financial burden with no guarantees, we couldn’t let her go without giving her a chance. She is only 4 years old. She has so much love, life, and tail wags left to give. We’re now reaching out to our community, to those who know us, and to those who simply believe in second chances for good dogs like Camper. So, just to clarify, it's not that I want takeaway or anything, I have a card that's prepaid by my local authority, and as far as I know, money can't be paid into it from other people (no account number or anything, and I can't even view the balance online). For some preface. I'm 18, and I'm moving into independance, I live alone now in my residential place as per an agreement with my social worker and the placement. I get paid every other Monday, and I'm horrible at stretching my money out, so I usually get to the end of the second week with less food and essentials

I suffer from depression, and my psychiatrist says that quick dopamine releases are something the depressed brain looks for more than long term releases to curb those feelings of sadness, and I think my spending reflects on that as it makes me feel better to spend some money on things I like, like games and tech etc.

The money I do receive, it's a little over £140 every 2 weeks, and even without my love for spending, a lot is expected of me with this amount (food, toiletries, clothes). Clothing is the main issue as nowadays even primark is exorbitant. I'm new to independance and it's not easy
