Help Does BG3 have giant spiders?

Hello everyone I recently started BG3 and am at the end of act 1. I have arachnophobia to the point where I can’t even look at them without being deeply unsettled. I’ve dropped many games because of this. What I want to know is, does BG3 have giant spiders and if so is there a way to avoid them, or are they a necessary part of the game? If they’re a big part of the game or if there’s even one* giant spider level I have to play through then I think I’ll have to drop the game. Thank y’all your input would be very appreciated here

There's one area with giant spiders, but it's optional. It's underground at the Blighted Village.

There are, however, several instances of "smaller" giant spiders (like... golden retriever size) in Act 1.

Yea, but then he or she’ll miss out on The Necromancy of Thay which sucks

Eh, with how much content the game has, you could delete that entire sub-quest and its rewards and nothing would really change. And this is coming from a hopeless completionist.

There's another amethyst in act 3 so no.

Even the big "reward" for that chain is annoying, I did it the first playthrough and usually ignore it on most others.

Danse Macabre was hard nerfed in an early patch (used to be 6 summons, you could control them, and the DC for their paralyze was 13 instead of 5; I think their HP might have gone down too), but +1 to Wisdom checks and saves and 20 thp every long rest for free is great.

Hard disagree, having 20 free temp health every day and 4 ghouls that can paralyze people and tank hits is incredible

They are outright annoying. The ki control is dog shit. They always get stuck somewhere and it drags fights even more. The 20 hp is nice tho but not a big game changer

That’s true, I’ve found they’re best used as a mid combat distraction tool or to deal with hordes of weaker enemies. I wouldn’t recommend sending them out right as you start your day because they definitely have weird pathing. It’s kinda niche but they can also be used to body block doorways or other chokes which can sometimes be really helpful

Not so much that they aren't useful but the fact that you can't control the ghouls and the sometimes wonky ai mean they make every turn take so much longer and they occasionally bug out altogether and just stand there for 30+ seconds and end their turn.

It's just an annoyance that isn't worth the effort, even when I had the spell I just stopped using it after a while.
