It boggles my mind that there were 3 very strong and competitive Best Actress nominees in the same year (Vidya, PC, Sridevi). Heck, even the other nominees in this category were good - Parineeti for Ishaqzaade, Kareena for Heroine and Deepika for Cocktail... and here we are in 2025 and I don't remember this category being saturated with really good talent in recent years.

What happened? Everyone is trying to do "challenging" roles now but no one is truly making a mark.

During the promotions of Fighter, there was some noise about DP getting a role in the third season of the white lotus, but ofcourse did not materialize, and if you have seen white lotus current season, I guess it was the role of Amrita, an Indian, and that role was far from the main casting and relevance. Also, the lady playing that role has an uncanny resemblance to DP. What do you guys think?

When you look at our legendary pageant winners like sushmita, aishwarya, priyanka, Lara not only they are beautiful, well spoken and articulate but they also have some level of humility in them. Watching urvashi's interview I don't think she has any of these characteristics she is indeed a pretty girl but that's that. She has no humbleness in her what so ever, may be she is not like that in her personal life but thats how it comes across atleast on public platform. I'm not saying one should always talk intellectual but there should be some kind of maturity when you're speaking in public, the infamous interview after that attack on saif, like girl read the room and that creepy smile she had while talking about her dimond studed Rolex. Even when she was giving interviews as a contestant she doesn't stand out at all. It's hard to believe she has won so many pageants. Lara dutta was the judge when she was contestant for miss universe India and sushmita was her mentor both women are amazing no idea what happened to their judgement.
