I understand the pro-Canada sentiment right now, and I’m mostly on board.
But when we are going to imagination-town, can we really do no better than imagine ourselves with a foreign fucking king?
Every sane person was horrified when the White House officially called the president a king. And here we are, playing pretend, and deciding that Cascadia needs a king from the family that rode along with Epstein on the Lolita Express?
It’s also the 21st century. Do we even want the king of England to be able to dissolve our parliament as his royal majesty sees fit?
Again, I get siding with Canada right now. I’ve always been more at home in BC than almost any state. So I get that.
And I’ll always maintain that Canada deserves better than to have a foreign king. But reality is reality.
But if we’re playing pretend or listing our aspirations, do we need to kneel to fucking King Charles?
lol, Canada doesn’t want a king either… not that it impacts us, but the idea of some special family getting millions of dollars annually for no reason is nauseating…pretty sure the monarchy is going to come to an end in our lifetime
