This subreddit is for the appreciation of the genre, not the game. Head over to r/cyberpunkgame if you’ve arrived here by mistake, thanks.

I’ve added additional buildings and began expanding the eastern part of the Cyberpunk dystopian skyline. Would love to hear what you think. Thank you so much for all the compliments on my last post.🙏🏼

I first read Neuromancer around a decade ago. Didn't understand what was going on. Finally reread it and it was great. Here's some fanart.

The Prologue chapter came out last week. I've got a good chunk of the book recorded, so chapters will come out on time every Friday, 6am EST so they can be available for people to listen to on the way to work.
Our second protagonist, Paul Anderson Fou, is getting a crash course in his new obsession, Battle for Drogon. A VR MMO that requires a special full-immersion implant and a special location in meat-space to play. His sponsor, Dynamo is running him through the basics, making sure he's worth the investment. But, who is she and why has she stuck an implant worth more than this loser's life in his head?
In retrospect, this chapter definitely feels like I'm making fun of LitRPGs, and while I'm sure there was some influence from having seen and promptly stopped watching Sword Art Online, I don't think I even knew the genre existed when I wrote this.
Once again, here's the Blurb.
For fans of Altered Carbon, Neon Leviathan, Snow Crash, and Neuromancer
Paul Anderson Fou's life is about to change. This rather boring fast-food worker has been offered the chance of a lifetime. Dynamo, a mysterious girl--the only one who's ever willingly talked to him--has gifted him the key to his dreams of MMO stardom, a chance to dig himself out of his successful brother's basement, to make something of himself.
But, as bodies start piling up all over Neo Rackham, attracting the attention of a relentless detective with a cybernetic eye, Paul's life is certain to become far more complicated than he ever dreamed.
The price for fame is high.
And some deals are too good to be true.
Paul is about to find that out the hard way.

After experiencing masterpieces such as Ghost in the Shell, Akira, Blade Runner, and Cyberpunk 2077, I was still left with a desire for more cyberpunk works, particularly in gaming. So, I set out to find, collect, and play as many cyberpunk games as possible that were released physically on PlayStation.
This collection is the result of about a year of hunting down copies and researching whether each game is truly cyberpunk or just another sci-fi title.
To filter through the countless sci-fi games on the PlayStation and determine what qualifies as a “truly cyberpunk game” (a definition that seems to be always debated on this subreddit), I used the following criteria as a general guideline:
1. A futuristic dystopia
2. Corporate domination and the effects of rampant capitalism
3. Resistance or struggle against oppression, particularly from the perspective of the “punks”
4. The dominance of advanced technology—such as cybernetics, AI, hacking, and virtualization—especially when exploring themes of technological exploitation
5. High tech, low life: advanced technology that directly contrasts with societal decay and inequality
Do you agree or disagree with this selection of games or its criteria? I believe this covers everything that has received a physical release on PlayStation, but please let me know if I’m missing anything.

Cana book, movie, tv show, etc.. I’m just in love with the almost slice of life pacing and exploration of the world.

These are scenes from a personal sci-fi project I'm working on – a visual story inspired by the song “Anarchy” by Egg
