Ford has an inventory problem. They’ve been offering sizable discounts for a while and offering financing on new vehicles at 2-3% — I know of someone who got 12k off a new vehicle from them this past month before the tariffs. Idk why they killed the fusion, the 2020 models are still one of the best looking sedans on the road. I think their line up right now is kinda fucked tbh.
Where are you getting that info about GM? I work in a plant and layoffs are coming. The increased production is so they can build a stockpile before sending us home. And adding jobs??? Where?
I highly disagree with what you're saying. I could never ever stand the Fusion after they changed it and made it look exactly like every other plane looking oval sedan on the road. Also, the Bronco could not be a cooler car. I think Ford is lacking in more diverse models that are hip and trendy, but getting rid of cars when nobody is buying boring sedans anymore and are mostly only driving SUVs , is not a bad call to make. There's only one purpose of having a car today, to own a luxury or sports car. What is the point of Ford producing any other car in today's time? The Bronco was definitely a step in the right direction though 👍🏼. If they want to stay afloat they need to focus on the younger buyer the way GM has done. Who the hell do they think is their market at this point? The baby boomer generation is not the people buying cars anymore and they need to get with the program or be left in the dust.
The Bronco is a cool car, but it’s priced out of a sizable chunk of the market and I don’t think the bronco sport has the same appeal. The fusion had its own identity and I think there is still room for sedans in the market. A 4-door mustang would be a good alternative.

I can’t get behind this statement at all. Probably the 2 single worst car categories to buy from.
You mean the companies that shipped their processes other places for cheaper labor are finally coming back home and trying to be competitive after giving up on the small car market, and not even making vehicles for the other countries they shipped the labor to. Winning for sure. To be clear we never should have allowed these American companies to do this in the first place.

Meanwhile ford is offering discounts and GM is increasing production and adding jobs. ¯_(ツ)_/¯
