Subreddit Topic Daily Roundtable: Community Q&A Spoiler
Greetings Tarnished!
This is the place to ask any questions you may have about Elden Ring. This includes obscure detail questions, "newbie" advice questions, build questions, boss advice questions, and what have you.
Well written, constructive criticism is fine but please avoid ranting about aspects of the game you just don’t like. This includes “so and so boss is stupid and too difficult.”
If you are interested in the game but don’t own it yet, please don’t post “should I buy this game?” or “Is this game worth it?”. If you have played other FromSoftware games and enjoyed them, the answer is yes. If you haven’t, just do a little research! These games are difficult, and sometimes frustrating, and not everyone is going to enjoy them. And that’s okay!
Lastly, be friendly! We are all here because we are interested in the same game! Please treat your fellow players with respect.

Discussion & Info "Whats the most overpowered weapon in the game?" is a question that gets asked a lot, but I think I've found the answer:
- Scadu 10, which is a bit under-powered for Midra, he's balanced for Scadu 12-14 depending on how you interpret area-scalings
- horribly unoptimised build, this is a FAI+ARC build, you want a STR+ARC build
- no buffs except Phyisc and Cragblade, if you added Body Buff, Aura Buff, you could get 49.5% more damage for essentially zero effort. Even more if you went insane with stuff like Black Dumpling.
and it still stunlocked him to death.
the essential part is the bleed proc at 1:07, since it cancels phase 2.

Discussion & Info First time playing Elden ring, weapon suggestions
Been loving the game, not the first time playing a souls like(finished sekiro and lies of P)
Been playing mostly without ranged weapons or magic. The only skill I use is parry and the holy weapon infusion you get from D(so skeletons stay dead)
I am a Vagabond with points mostly on str/vit/endurance Would like to know any suggestions on what better weapons I can find to replace claymore.
( just finished limegrave and weeping peninsula, I am currently in eastern liurna)

Discussion & Info After a decent time, I retract my statement on hating her
I will say that now that I know her moveset better, she's one of my favorite fights now. I still hate waterfoul dance and attack of the clones, but it's fine if I'm far away enough. I don't mind the hyper armor anymore, and she feels like a really smooth fight.
Also Morgott's Cursed Sword go brrr

Humor My buttcrashing-parry build finally paid off. She was crying
It just took me 100 tries or smth. It's not that good, but sometimes I stagger her 3 times in a row after every riposte. So first phase became pretty easy, if you need help with Malenia call "Let me sit on her"

Discussion & Info Ever wonder how the tarnished personality is like?
If you would pull your tarnished out of the game and bring it into real life, how would it act? Something like Thor movie? Will it be a blood thirsty killer? Or a "Kill or be killed" mentality, like in Game Of Thrones? Would it Stick around for a bit to learn its surroundings, then be like "Well, see you later, I'm going to kill the country's leader to become Elden Lord"
