Looking for a positive extensions experience
Hello, I got new k-tip extensions because Ive always wanted length but couldn’t achieve it due to breakage and hormonal issues… does anyone have a good experience with extensions or are they always damaging?

I gave up on pastel pink for now. Here is my new color!
I recently posted asking for advice on how to get my hair more white so I could go pastel pink. I appreciate the advice I got, it was so helpful… but then I was going through something and Sally Beauty didn’t sell Adore hair color and in a borderline breakdown I said fuck it and got Arctic Fox virgin pink and diluted it with conditioner. I added too much hair dye and ended up with a more vibrant color, but I actually love it and I’m hoping it will fade to a soft pink. :) The last two photos are of the blonde I applied it to.

What hair colour would suit me?
I was originally hoping to get a change from the black. I was debating on pink or purple but I got my hair badly bleached professionally the other day and my hair is now orangey brown while the roots are platinum blonde (last pic, looks worse irl) so now I'm considering just going for black with lilac ghost roots but at the same time I want a change from the black but idk what other options I have so idk 😭 Opinions?

Bleaching over direct dye?
So I have currently deep brown hair that's been bleached twice to enable purple direct dye over it... but I have come to notice the purple isn't as bright as I'd like it to be because the hair it was applied on was not light enough.
On other word there's too much copper/red pigment left in the hair.
Will my hair melt if I bleach over the purple direct dye in order to get rid of the copper? (It's fine if the purple remains, since I plan on reapplying it anyway)

Bleach or not to bleach
This might be a stupid question. I’m Chinese so I have very dark hair and I usually use permanent hair dye at salons to dye it like a wine red/dark red (once to twice a year). If I want to make the colour stay longer, should I bleach it or just dye it more often?

Is 2 years enough to wait between permanent straightening and bleaching?
Reading posts on r/HaircareScience and other subreddits, I couldn't quite find an answer.
More details below:
I got my hair permanently straightened 2 years ago, and for what it's worth it hasn't lasted and is no longer straight anyway. I have naturally black (I'm south asian) hair, and want to go a pretty light warm blonde, but I'm worried the chemicals from the straightening treatment might break my hair. I remember when I got it done, I was told it wasn't just a keratin treatment, as it was meant to be permanent but did have keratin in it.
Any professionals know if this would be bad idea or should I suck it up and wait a few more years before I can bleach it?

Tips on how to go from blonde to white without destroying my hair?
Hello! This is the color i'm at now. I want to go from this color to a super icy white. As white as I can possibly get it.
I bought : ▪️ion bright white lightener cream, ▪️ion 20 developer, ▪️ion bright white powder lightener, ▪️ion icy white cream toner.
I'd appreciate any tips or advice on how to do this safely. I bought all the products because they were recommended by my friend. How would you recommend I use them to avoid the most damage? I have very thick dense hair below shoulder length and I cut it last time I was at Aveda because I wanted to remove a lot of the dry damaged ends.
Im worried because I saw some tiktoks about people bleaching at home and completely destroying their hair and having to get a pixie cut and I don't what the same thing to happen to me. 🥹

Please Help! Should I pixie cut?
Hello!
I was hoping to get some help. I had a baby last year & then got really sick. It caused my hair to start breaking off. I finally got the courage to go get a cut to remove all the breakage, so I could start over. My hair was originally at my mid-back. Now I think I have a mullet or look like an SNL 90s mom. Should I leave it to grow or just get a pixie at this point? I feel like crying all the time.

Hair suggestions
Hi, I feel that my color is just a little dark for when I'm used to especially underneath. Does anyone have a suggestion on how to lighten it? Should I use highlights? If so, what color? And if I should tell or highlight and tone a suggestion for a toner that will not turn my hair any grayer?

Help! Salon turned me blonde-orange
I went to the salon today in the hopes of turning my dark blonde hair into a bright blonde. I showed my stylist the second picture, and I ended up with the first. What can I do to fix this? Is this even fixable? I’m about to cry.

Permanent over semi-permanent?
My hair is currently Artic Fox Purple AF over a mousy milk chocolate-ish brown with some greys. It's really lovely, but have a fancy trip at the end of the month, and don't particularly want purple hair. Can put a darker brown over the top?

How to apply color oops to base only ?
Hi, I recently had a massive fail at the hair salon. She did bayalage with warm tones and tried to color my base copper, but it went very dark red at the base so she tried to fix it with a dark brown cover-up under a heating lamp and basically it was a massive fail. The crown of my head was a dark brown black cherry, and the rest of my hair looked like a typical brunette with blonde strips . Her only advice was to use dandruff shampoo mixed with baking soda for 10 days and I've been trying that and was able to remove some of the dark brown so now it's just the red popping out at the roots. I'm looking into color oops I have a box but I'm scared to use it. Can anyone advise how to accurately apply it to only the base roots and the hairline without getting it on the bottom through the strands. I don't wanna even touch most of the hair just the base . Also, does anyone have a prediction for what color might be left underneath once I remove the dark red? My natural hair color is brown. I don't think there was any lifting done before she applied it. Thank you!

Best blue black hair dye (UK)?
Hi all, I currently have box dyed black hair with blue areas. I've been trying to get blue black hair but unfortunately keep just ending up with black that fades slowly to dark brown. The last dye I used was Schwarzkopf Cosmic Blue which was fine but it didn't go blue at all. I've had my hair dyed professionally before but it's always ended up not quite right so I was looking for an alternative to do at home. I've looked at a few products on the Sallys website but not sure which would be best to achieve the results I want. Any recommendations are welcome! Added a photo of my hair currently for reference 😊

Hair dye help
What colour would I get if I apply dark ash blonde (6a) and light honey brown (5g) on level 8 hair?

I want to dye my hair a fun color. What are some realistic options for my hair type?
Posted some crazy hair ideas a few days ago but the consensus in this subreddit was that it would be very expensive and damaging to achieve the desired styles. I’m having trouble finding examples of people with my hair type that have dyed their hair.
If nothing can be done, I will just dye it black.

fixing light orange tones (pls help)
this is my current state of my hair, i don’t mind it looking like this for now but i really want it to match the lighter blonde i have going on near the root, i did try blue shampoo because of how light the orange is that sometimes it looks peach and pink, i know that i could possibly bleach one more time where i need but my main question is if i could just tone it to the level that the tips are at? i know that in person it seems to be about a 8-9 level blonde but in the uk i have no where that dose toners that i understand, its okay right now but i just really want to fix it asap. please leave any tips cause im desperate ☹️. would my best bet be to bleach it again in the next couple of weeks?

Manic Panic Vampire red question
I want to use vampire red on my hair which is light brown and I want to make sure it just fades out and doesn't leave a weird color in my hair?
edit: do I need to buy 2 of the 4oz bottles because I have long, medium thickness hair?

Stylist Turned Me Orange - HELP!!
Help. For context, I’ve been seeing this stylist for a year and this is my first time having a problem. I went in last week and asked her to just move my blonde up and go slightly brighter, but wanted to have a blended root like I usually have. She gave me a STARK money piece that I didn’t ask for at all. I went back in 5 min later to get it fixed because I don’t like how money pieces look on me. But my stylist had already left, so the owner of the salon popped a few foils in to blend out the money piece and make it match with the rest of my head. Well, I was left with a yellow strip in the front of my head. I reached out to my stylist and sent her a pic, and she said that front piece just didn’t lift enough and that she could squeeze me in to fix it. Today she foiled it but she said it was lifting warm, so she toned it. It still didn’t look like it matched the rest of my head, and looked yellow. She told me she didn’t see what I was talking about, and that her next client was coming in so the me only thing she could do was give me a root smudge. She put it in and told me to wash it out when I get home, which I didn’t mind doing. But when I washed it, it turned out orange. It looks even worse than before. I don’t know what to do, and don’t know if I even trust going back to her to fix it. Advice???? Please help I can’t have orange hair 😭😭😭 I’m frustrated because I never asked for the money piece in the first place, which is what caused all these issues. pics 1&2: after the salon owner fixed it, pics 3&4: result from today

Wella Blondor cream or powder? What's the difference and is one better to use?
I was going to just get the powder but I can't find it anywhere in stock in a smaller amount than 800g. This cream has great reviews online and people seem pleased with the results, but I don't quite understand what the difference between them is? They both say they can lift up to 7 levels.
My hair right now after one lightening is like... Lvl 5 at the roots (natural), lvl 7 on the lengths, and there's a bit of lvl 8 on some of the ends from a previous lightening last summer. I am planning to get 20 and 30 vol developer, so I can adjust as I go through the hair - and especially for the more lightened ends.
I used a purple semi-permanent color hence the purple bits.
