Hey folks, looking for some advice here.
This is a (I guess) wood floor built over an aluminum frame — the boards sit across the frame arms, which run perpendicular underneath. Thing is, the boards aren’t fixed in place and have shifted over time, so now a bunch of them are no longer properly supported. You can see some of the gaps in the pic. Some boards bounce like diving boards when you step on them. Not ideal.
I want to turn this area into a small BJJ space with mats, but it obviously needs a more stable base. Re-securing the boards seems like a lot of work cause many of them are tilted and some also cracked. Maybe there’s a better way to cover it up and even things out. Ideally something cost-effective and not too permanent.
Open to any ideas — subfloor panels, plywood overlay, whatever. Thanks in advance!
