Discussion Any videos or vods I can watch to learn how to boxfight in-game?

Are there are vids for when you get hit hard and need to make a lot of boxes and space? Looking for stuff in-game, like pros getting hit rlly hard and then they have to defensively box fight ? Every time I do it I seem to always just die really quickly— how do they stall it out?

Discussion Why is there so many cheater ?

Hello, yesterday no matter what mode i played they Always were POS of cheaters.

Reload, ranked, creative Always at least one cheater.

I m sick of that, Epic dont do anything About that.

Why not create a group or a discord of people who report all cheaters they see ?

So cheaters will be banned instantly by epic due to the number of people who reported them .

Discussion Is there some sort of building bot people have started using?

Over the last like 2-3 months I keep finding players are really not that well acquainted with the game but are somehow still effective at building.

I’ve encountered multiple people who I’ve watched struggle to figure out how to use a healing item, but yet somehow they’re able to start doing 90s like it’s no problem.

Has anyone else noticed this?

Tournament Results I just had my best tournament game ever!

I know 2 kills doesnt seem like a lot, but I've only competed in 2 solo tournaments ever and im finally improving in doing good in tournaments! I used to always die offspawn but now I've learned when to and to not take fights, I got better at fighting and comp, and got better at placing. Even though I'm proving so you still have any tips for me to do even better?

Discussion Stuck on about 210 points

I feel like me and my teammates would beat anyone 1v1, even 3v3 in basically every div 3 lobby. I am aware that div 3 shouldn’t be hard, that’s what’s making me so mad. We basically never lose off spawn, have a good midgame strat so we never get keyed, if we do we win pretty much every time. As soon as we get into early lategame or late midgame we start to lose so many mats and heals. Lategames are insanely chaotic, we’re unable to get refreshes that were easily able to get in scrims. We’re unable to play height ever.. Idk what we’re doing wrong. it always goes pretty good until we’re put in the most stacked top 500 lobby where rotating without 3 bats is impossible (hopeful heights has no loot basically). we lose so much time on these games, after that go into our last 1-2 games w a bad mental. We get barely any points in these and end the cup with about 210-230 points everytime. I genuinely need someone to explain exactly what we’re doing wrong since i actually don’t know. maybe someone who was in the same spot explain what you did to get better

To get Unreal is just way too easy. There should be something to grind for and that is an achievement you can get.

Discussion How to balance Fortnite and school?

I need some help with this cause it's one of the biggest issues with me and competitive. I know most pros go to online school and stuff but my parents wouldn't want me doing that so what should I do?

Edit: I feel like I have potential but my parents don let me ay div cups since they go late.

Highlight Incredibly satisfying kill. He was camping somewhere endlessly and he almost one pumped me when I walked by, and then spammed grenade launcher continuously, therefore I wasn't able to heal properly. Stop using bushes, at least in ranked, it's miserable.

Discussion Simple edit turned off?!?

I was playing a ranked cup, (diamond fyi) and I normally play with simple edit on and it was turned on in settings, yet when I played the cup, it was the OG edit settings? Is simple edit turned off for ranked cups/tourneys or was this a glitch?

Discussion What do you think about Epic doing this?

I’ve been having a discussion with some of my friends this past week about whether or not it would be good for the game if Epic forced pros to stop constantly switching teammates. Personally, I think players shouldn’t be allowed to switch teams every other week. The game would be far more competitive if they were required to stick with the teammates they played FNCS with, at least for the duration of a season. That way, teams could actually build chemistry and improve over time.

I know constant team changes have always been part of the Fortnite comp scene, but can you imagine being Vadeal—moving to NA with full commitment—only to get dropped the way he did? That situation alone shows how brutal and inconsistent things can be without structure.

Of course, there are exceptions—like if someone gets sick or has to go on a school trip like Malibuca did recently—but I still think the pros outweigh the cons. Imagine Fortnite adopting a system similar to traditional sports—like football or basketball—where trades can only happen during a set transfer window, and restrictions are in place to prevent overpowered teams from forming too easily. It would stop duos like Cold and Peterbot from dominating the field with no real resistance.

The storylines that could come from this would be incredible. Rivalries, dynasties, team loyalty—it would make the esport more engaging and easier to follow, especially for casual viewers. I also think the scene would be taken more seriously if there were formal structures in place.

What do you think?

Opinion Epic Needs to Bring Life Back to Competitive

I know this might sound like a rant but it feels like epic hasn't done anything major for Fortnite competitive in years.

I remember back in 2018 and 2019 you had these major tournaments such as Winter Royale and Fall Skirmish where there was so many high profile content creators and streamers such as Tfue, Clix, Ninja and many others. There hasn't been any major Epic sponsored events in years

Major events are how games keep being relevant. Take League of Legends for example. There is many gameplay issues that I don't think I need to go into but the game is still still able to get hundreds of thousands of viewers every year from LCS and Worlds which include iconic names like Faker. That game is over 15 years old and is still bringing in massive viewership despite very deep flaws in the game.

Another thing I really think Fortnite is lacking is a proper ranked system. I didn't play the game for almost 2 years and got to unreal in like a week. There is just no feeling from being at a high rank in this game because it is so easy to achieve. I will cite League of Legends again which is a game where ranked is taking very seriously and being able to achieve a high rank is seen as a very big accomplishment.

I think a good direction would be to make the system a lot more grindy but to make games more consistent such as removing completely useless weapons so you don't die after landing as much.

I also think adding proper apex tiers to the game similar would also increase interest into competitive. Content creators could have a race to rank 1 which again would bring more viewership to the game.

In summary this game needs

  • To sponsor content creator events and tournaments like they did back in 2018 and 2019
  • A proper ranked system
  • a proper apex tier system similar to something like League of Legends or Valorant
  • maybe to do some unique tournaments with special rules such as a blitz mode where the game ends much quicker
