This will be my first ever PC- not trying to go crazy, just want to play Minecraft, Stardew Valley, Gmod, Genshin etc. with mods.

Budget was $1400 and this is what I came up with the help of a pcpartpicker guide (with my VERY limited knowledge mind you) would this be good enough? Anything to change? Anything wrong?

Here is also the link for parts:

Really loud fan noise and other weird noises (?)

PC Parts:
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/CgDk4M

Issue:
Really loud fans and this weird crackling-ish noise coming from the PC when turned on. Even if I'm just on Google Chrome, it'll still make these sounds. I'm not really good with PC's, so I'm not sure how to fix this issue. I know that I could lower the fan speed but I'm worried this will cause my PC to overheat and just malfunction.

What should I put this thing together with. I just had my 5 year old PC brick out on me. So trying to get something relatively decent but nothing too crazy to build around this thing. Any help appreciated as I’ve only ever done prebuilt and this is an overwhelming space lol

What are the possible reasons why a GPU can't detect a connected monitor, even when the monitor is powered on?

Would this be a good deal?

It’s a buddy of mines and he said one of the fans gets really loud he doesn’t know if it’s the cpu fan or a case fan but he’s probably hovering around $250 for it is that a good deal. Final question how would the upgradability be if I decide to upgrade soon.

Upgrade Question

Hello!

I want to help my partner upgrade their PC, but have no clue what would be best. Not looking for a beast of a machine, just some gaming improvements, but I don't know what GPU would work for this PC, or if I should upgrade something else first.

Here are the specs:

msi h310 gaming infinite ms b915

16.0 GB Ram

Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-8400 CPU @ 2.80GHz   2.81 GHz

Nvidia Geforce gtx 1660

Sorry if this question is dumb, I am indeed stupid. Thank you for the help!

Hello. I’m looking to get my first gaming PC. I wanna play games like marvel rivals, r6, and Minecraft mainly. But wanna be able to run all/most games smoothly.

I wanna play at 1080p but might upgrade to 1440 later in the future. But I mainly care about fps, is this good or overkill? Btw this is AUD.

Thanks

PC Build Consultation

Hello! I am trying to build my very first PC. I have these specs in mind, and have multiple variants for the specific parts. are there any components that I should consider changing? I am willing to adjust my budget for 25USD more.

Variant 1:
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/bdmKxg

Variant 2:
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/fV7gKq

I would really appreciate comments and suggestions. Thank you!

[EDIT]: My purpose for this consultation is the optimize the build while minimizing the budget. If there are "overkill" parts, I would also appreciate other options. Thank you once again!

Upgraded from RTX 3060 Ti to RX 7800 XT – Did I Get a Good Deal?

Hey folks, just upgraded my GPU and wanted to get some input.

Old Card: - NVIDIA RTX 3060 Ti Founders Edition - 8GB GDDR6 VRAM

New Card: - XFX Speedster QICK319 RX 7800 XT CORE - 16GB GDDR6 - Paid: $590.27 (Amazon)

I’ve always used NVIDIA cards and this is my first time going AMD. Honestly, it’s just gotten impossible to find a new NVIDIA card with decent specs at a reasonable price. I’ve been hitting that 8GB VRAM wall in newer games at 1440p, so I figured it was time to move on.

My system should be ready for it: - Ryzen 7 7700 - 32GB DDR5-6000 - MSI B650-P - Corsair HX850 PSU

Curious if I got a fair deal, and for those of you who’ve made a similar switch—how’s AMD been treating you?

Possible pc upgrade/change? ($400 USD, open to suggestions)

This might be a dumb question, but I don't know much about computers. I got my computer from the uncle and I mostly just use it for Fortnite, but it doesn't perform as well as I would like it too. These are the specs

CPU- intel core i7 9700k Gpu- nividia GeForce rtx 3060 ti Motherboard- ASrock z390 pro4 Ram- 16 gb ddr4 3600 Storage- 2 tb

Note: I live by a microcenter if that helps. Also my preferred budget is $400 USD (Not That Much), but I'm open to suggestions, and I might have a little wiggle room with money.

These are my questions:

Is it possible to upgrade my parts to make my pc perform better with this little budget? If so what should I upgrade.

And

I fell in love with the asus prime ap201 case and the builds I've seen people have with this case. So I was wondering if I could somehow put the build I have and put it in the case or maybe change parts so I'm able to use the case.

And

Is it possible to do both these requests that I wanted with the little budget that I have? Or should I just stick to one of these, upgrading my pc or stick to changing the case. If I'm able to with my budget

GPU recommendations on a budget

Hi all, Im trying to work on my first AM5 build and I managed to get my hands on a Ryzen 7 7800x3D for $300 and im looking for a GPU to pair with it. I know you can technically pair anything with it and i also know general advice is to splurge as much as you can afford to, but theres so many brands and variations that I thought i'd rely on yall and your experience to help me out so I don't spend more than I need to. I'm on a bit of a snug budget but i'm currently running a 1650 Super in my AM4 rig and it's on its last legs.

I'm currently looking for a 12GB GPU (one that'll fit in my NZXT s340 elite w a Thernalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE on the CPU). Currently I play a lot of Baldur's Gate 3, FFXIV, and occasionally stuff like Apex and indie games (Marvel Rivals barely runs on my current rig but I'd like to play more of it). I used to stream casually off and on but I also do digital illustrations/multitasking. I know it's a big ask but i'm looking to spend under $450. I don't need the best possible pair, just something above middle ground to hopefully last me a couple more years but also improve performance right now, balanced with my CPU as much as possible.

Any advice helps, and feel free to ask for info if I left anything important out.

Gaming Laptop Monitor Question

I use a MSI gaming laptop. Built in screen refresh rate is 144 Hz. I use an external monitor also 144 Hz. If I bought a monitor with a faster refresh rate, will the laptop display a higher refresh rate than the built in monitor allows?
