Captured Apparition This is a picture from when I was a toddler

This picture was taken with one of those cameras where you need to get the film developed somewhere else once ur done. It was Christmas time and I believe it was 1999 and it was the first Christmas after an uncle close to me had died in a car crash.

Everyone thinks that its my uncle bc he was super close to me but to be honest it could mean many things and it's a little freaky. Apparently as a kid I used to cry and scream pointing at walls and ceilings afraid of something that wasn't there when left alone.

All other photos apparently came back normal and this was the only weird one. I don't have access to the original anymore sadly but I took a picture of it the last time it was shown to me in person

WDYT? (What Do You Think?) In 2012 there was this weird critter that would appear outside my window at night. I took pics of it for FB and never quite figured out what it was. Second floor window. NJ. It wasn't a squirrel, though I called it one. It was too lanky and weird. I feel like this is the place to post it

Is this paranormal? Are these spirits or is there a logical explanation for these photos?

Okay so last night I was about to go to sleep when I started to get anxiety. I happened to glance up when I saw a black flash. Naturally I thought my mind was just messing with me. But something told me to take a picture. So I did.

My camera took 5 burst pics in the dark. WITHOUT any editing you can clearly see two shiny dots in the top right ( the first two pics are unedited). When I use the dynamic filter + brighten it as much as I can, you see a bunch of them (last 3 pics). In all 5 pics it's different, the first one only a couple of dots, the second one has the most, and the third and 4th one have a black mass on the left. I can't remember if that was my leg or not. But it wasnt there in the last photo or the first.

Essentially please tell me if these are just reflective dust particles or something? Thank you 🙂

WDYT? (What Do You Think?) Do you see what I see? Paranormal or a case of pareidolia...

Last weekend I was in New Orleans and I joined a ghost hunting investigation in a 200 year old creole cottage where a gruesome murder took place, now turned museum.

I took a bunch of photos and as I was reviewing them I noticed this one and I can kinda see a person (hair, face, upper body). This was taken on the upper floor.

You can't really see it in the first photo but I zoomed in and circled the outline in the 2nd picture.

Do you think this is a case of pareidolia and I'm just seeing things or do you think it can be a ghostly manifestation?

"Ghost" captured on an old digital camera

Post image
2 Upvotes

What's going on guys. I stumbled on this group just going down the reddit rabbithole and figured I'd share a picture and story I have.

This is a picture from an old digital camera, that I took a picture of from my phone a while ago because I thought it was weird. My mom was taking a picture of her new blowup penguins she got for Christmas decorations. Right above it you see white "smoke." No one was smoking, there was no glare on the camera or anything to cause a reflection. Majority of the picture is pretty clear and no motion, just that on the screen.

To add a little background and lore to the story. Right behind the penguins there's a tree and in the mulch there's a little plaque for a remembrance for my moms bf that passed away a few years earlier. Nothing of his just a little quote or something I don't remember exactly.

Nothing was visible when she took it. There were other pictures she took that didn't have it. Idk something cool I figured I'd share. What do you guys think?

Caught this on our Nest camera setting off our Truck alarm when the truck wasn’t locked.

March 26th 12:30 AM My husband and I were asleep at our house when his truck alarm started going off. He asked me to pull up the camera to see who was in the truck. He didn’t lock the truck so alarm wasn’t set to go off. Watch the front on the truck by the windshield in the first couple seconds. There wasn’t any damage to the truck and nothing on the ground or on the truck. Any ideas what it could be.

Personal Encounter Weird encounter in 2008 in an apartment that woke me up!

Back then I worked the night shift and slept during the daytime. I was in a one bedroom apartment with my wife.

Well, one day I was sound asleep only to be woken up by pressure on my feet like something sat on them at the end of the bed. I woke up and I could still feel it and then it was like it stood up and the pressure went away. There was also a depression in the bed cover next to my feet of what looked like a hand. Maybe when the entity stood up? Only thing that has ever happened to me like that.

My wife later confessed when I brought it up after we moved to a house that she had a similar experience when I was at work one night.

Anyway, I just thought I'd share as it has always stuck with me.

Caught on Camera 🎥 LaLaurie Mansion in Jan 2008... I'm still Convinced I captured something.

When I was in college, I went down to NOLA to visit a friend for New Year's Eve. We did a ghost tour and made it to the infamous LaLaurie Mansion (feel free to look it up). For those of you who do know it, then you know exactly what room is behind the blocked off window pictured here. Now in that blocked window, I have always been convinced something was there. I pass this off to you, fellow Redditors - what are your thoughts?

Over the summer I was in NOLA for my sister’s bachelorette party and we went on a ghost tour. One of her friends was snapping pics on a papershoot camera the whole time (ik it’s not a good camera). This is the infamous LaLaurie Mansion. And this is the only photo that came out of the tour, all the rest are pitch black. When she got home and sent us the picture everyone was freaking out in the gc lol! So what do y’all think?

Sightseeing Spirits at Charleston Cistern?

Post image
38 Upvotes

I snapped this photo a few weeks back. Nothing special was happening in town, I was just killing some time before catching a play at the College of Charleston. It was twilight, not quite fully dark yet and there was not a single soul in the Cistern at the time (…or was there?) which is unusual. So, I took the photo of the general grounds and kept on moving. Next day I’m looking through the photos I took and noticed something weird about this one- there are a few partially transparent people in it and there was absolutely positively NOBODY there when I took the picture.

If you look at the main building in the center of the picture, to the right between the first two trees and zoom in, you will see them. One looks like a muscular fellow in black, behind him appears to be a thinner person in striped pants and then seated on the concrete, one can make out a lady in a gown. I’ve shown this to many people and a few claim to see more figures but those are all I can see. This was taken with my iPhone, the Live was not on, and it wasn’t in Night Mode yet, as it was still the gloaming, and bright enough.

Is this paranormal? my dog is visiting me from the beyond 5 years this year, after he died. is this him telling me he's ok?

my 1st ever childhood dog passed away in 2020 from a heart condition 1 month before his 13th birthday. I had a crappy childhood and my dog was my best friend and my brother and he always cheered me up when I was sad. When he was dying we had take him to emergency vet at 11pm at night and he stayed for 1 night to find out what up with him. I didn't know if he was coming back so I gave him so many hugs and I said i love you etc. We were having him put down but he passed in our garden sunbathing happily and I didn't get to say goodbye to him. recently I been seeing a dog near me everywhere i keep thinking it our 2nd dog we have but he's light brown and our 1st dog had black so I know it him. I think he's visiting me to say he's OK and cause I still have his fave toy in my room to always remember him. I also think he thanking me for not letting people touch his grave we have lol. He was very bossy. I just need to know if my bff OK and I want him to know I'm always here for him and we've never forgotten him. Has anyone had this before?

Why don't I experience anything anymore?

When I was a kid, I had a lot of really strange experiences. It wasn't just an "active imagination," because I literally caught things on camera a few times. I noticed though that once I hit like 13 years old, I stopped having any type of ghostly encounters/experiences, and I stopped "feeling" the presence of anything. I used to always get weird vibes like I was being watched but now it's just... nothingness. Am I just somehow disconnected? It's not like I'm actively seeking out ghosts or anything LOL but it just seems strange how everything abruptly stopped and that I can't sense anything anymore, even when I'm all alone and everything is quiet. I mean, I literally work in a hospital on night shift. I've taken people to the morgue after they've passed on (which is a VERY SURREAL thing to think about now that I mention it here) and never experienced anything. I work in a trauma center and lots of people have died in this hospital, but I can't feel any presences?

This is an old video of a Hmong funeral in Vietnam. You can see something run down the right side before the bridge collapses.

wth is wrong with my face? photo taken in 2013

Post image

In 2013 I was on my sister’s room with normal lighting - I was goofing around and asked her to take a photo of me in a yoga position. She took this photo and said “omg your face is white!” I asked her what she meant, she said it again and showed me this picture. You can see that my face is white completely different from my body and it legit looks like the grudge.

I’m fairly certain the house we grew up in was haunted. Anyone know what happened here? What is going on?! Is that just the lighting, energy from my sister’s room, do I have a spirit attached to me, did I at the time, or what??

Personal Encounter 2016 Personal Apartment Ghost Experience

I was living alone in a fairly new apartment in 2016 and it was a weekday night and I was preparing fajita bowls as a meal prep.

Earlier at work that day, it was really slow and I went down a deep Ouija board rabbit hole so I had started out fairly spooked but mostly forgotten by the time I got home except for the ghost encounter protocol of letting them know that you know they’re there and you telling them you don’t want to be spooked.

I was chopping bell peppers on the kitchen island and my blender (which I had used to make a sauce) was by the sink on the counter with the lid off, about 6 feet from where I was standing when the lid shot at me as it it was tossed like a frisbee. Very freaked out, I picked it up and threw it in the sink. Remembering what I had learned earlier that day, I said “I know you are here, please do not try to scare me” out of abundance of caution.

I quickly wrapped up my lunches and moved over to my couch with my dog (who was noticeably tense) to watch Masterchef Junior. My living room had a clear view into my kitchen and out of the corner of my eye I saw all of my cabinets open 1-2 inches and then the slammed shut one by one as if someone was running with their hand up next to them. I grabbed my dog and ran into my bedroom and closed the door but I kept the light on. I heard the sound of something tapping my dvd rack and my dog was alert but no longer very bothered and at some point I fell asleep.

Nothing else ever happened in that apartment but I’m still convinced I let something in during my Ouija research earlier that day.

Personal Encounter Ghost encounter I had in 2021 That still shakes me

This happened back in 2021. I was getting ready for school for the day. I was brushing my teeth, when I left the bathroom I saw a tall black figure looming over me. I was so terrified I locked myself in the bathroom. I left 30 minutes later when my parents just started walking down the stairs. When I looked at where the figure was, it was gone. Absolutely zero trace if it left behind. My parents said they had seen nothing, so I believe it truly was paranormal. Please tell me your thoughts as to what it could have been in the comments.

Personal Encounter Are modern ghosts a thing? Which era are the most common sightings from?

Has anyone ever experienced a fairly modern ghost? In a graveyard behind my friends house we once saw a guy in flares and a tight t shirt. We were young and laughed at how odd he looked when he past. Turned around a second later and he’d gone! We still can’t explain it. I’ve read a lot of ghost encounters here but the latest era I’ve seen described is the 40s. Are modern ghosts a thing? Never heard of anyone seeing one in 90s grunge gear or with an 80s bouffant 🤷🏼‍♀️

Is there a "ghost" behind the child in the corner?

Hey guys, this is my first time ever posting on Reddit. I've had these photos for a long time and only just rediscovered them. Here's the long back story to these photos.

I got these photos from my (ex) partner about 3 years ago. These photos were taken at the child care centre she was working at, at the time. I can't say what centre specifically but it's in countryside Victoria, Australia, where we both live. She's never been a believer in anything paranormal and either have I. I do like the occasional horror movie but nothing more. But these photos, she said she couldn't explain. She said there were only the children that you can see, and her taking the photos. After going over some of the photos she noticed something standing behind one of the children in the corner. The child care decided not to post the photos to any of their online pages but she was allowed to keep them on her phone. There's only maybe a 2-3 second difference between the 2 photos as there were alot of photos taken in quick succession. When I saw the second photo my heart dropped. Just something about it seems off. She knows about as much about photoshop as I do so I know there's no way she would be able to forge this, and there's no reason she would, seeing as neither of us are into this sort of thing. I've been to the centre many times before after hours and I've experienced strange voices and babies crying but I always assumed there was a rational explanation to it all, but after seeing the photos, it makes me sick to my stomach thinking about the things I've heard there. Anyway, let me know what you think, I don't really know what to make of this. Hopefully someone can put my mind at ease and see something rational that I'm just not seeing. Thanks guys.

PS. I have been given permission from the child care and the parents to post these photos as they would also like to know what it could be. Far as I know, the girl with the "ghost" behind her hasn't had any "paranormal" or unexplainable things since that day. So if it is something out of this world, hopefully it was just that one time lol.
