Just bought this beautiful machinery and I know I’ll love every second of it hehe. I’m going to keep it like this for a while, but any first recommendations for mods in the future.

TLDR: for shiny tires and no sling, buy Turtle Wax Mister Cartoon Tire Shine

Hard to believe, but Turtle Wax Mister Cartoon collab has been money for my IS! (Check slides for bottle) I also used their tire cleaner and it is amazing too! Cleaned off all my previous shines to give it a great canvas for the shine to work. I tried Chemical Guys VRP (alright) Meguiar’s Hot Shine can version (shine don’t last and splatters like crazy) and Car Pro Darkside (disappointed of the tire sling splatter also) Of course it’s just my word, but believe me I just applied the shine, then less than 10 minutes I drove the car to get lunch, and NO tire sling residue on fender! These pictures have been taken 5 days after the clean and shine. Still no tire sling spots and STILL shiny! If you’re looking for a SHINE and not a matte finish. I highly recommend Turtle Wax Mister Cartoon.

Just purchased my first Lexus and I love it! I came to this from an Audi A5. The Audi had more zip, but I definitely prefer the IS.

I am looking to to do some light mods, lowering springs and wheel spacers and maybe switch out the exhaust to give the sound some bass. Any recommendations are appreciated!

Posted about two weeks ago about how I took my car to the dealer for the complimentary 30k mile service and got it back with a scratch. Happy to report that the dealer was extremely professional and took care of it.

I dropped the car off last Thursday to see if they could buff it out. After evaluating it, they let me know that wasn’t possible and offered to run it through their body shop. They gave me a loaner for the weekend, and I got my car back the following Tuesday—and simply put, it looks great.

They told me they had to repaint the entire door and blend it with the rest of the car. I’m no paint expert, so I brought it to my detail guy, and even he was impressed. Under his shop lights, he noticed some minor “fish eye” imperfections, but overall said it was a great job.

I’m happy with the results and really appreciate the professionalism of the dealer’s service team. I’ll have to pay out of pocket to reapply the ceramic coating on that door, but I’m okay with that. My detail guy asked me to wait a few months to let the paint cure before we do the ceramic coating.

Hey everybody, I recently got a Bagged 2014 lexus is250 F sport, and the radio just doesn't work. Every now and then I'll get lucky, and it will boot up and work perfectly just to shut off again. Trust me, I have gone through the rabbit holes and have tried everything possible to fix and troubleshoot, and honestly I'm just going to upgrade to CarPlay. But my question is if i buy a new apple carplay and replace it, would i still have the same issue? Because when my radio doesn't work, my USB ports don't have power either. Or is it likely an issue with the head unit as the main source causing this issue, and replacing it would fix it. This is the one I will buy.

Just noticed condensation in one of my running lights, any suggestions on how to dry it out before I get charged $700 to replace it. I’m almost positive it is not cracked and the water entered through some sort of gap in the seal. Not the biggest car nut so taking the car apart is not preferable but I’ll attempt if it means saving money.

I have a fix it ticket due next month in May for having no license plate. My car doesn’t pass the brake light inspection due to my left headlight being out.

Bought this Salvaged Lexus IS250 last year in April 2024, for $15000. It had 30k miles on it, and now it has 60k.

Ive been on time with all usual maintenance. I’ve replaced so far - 2 tire rods - windshield wiper box

This car is super reliable. It’s never given me any issues.

I just didn’t do a proper inspection when first buying the vehicle, I overpaid and I have lots of headaches to deal with.

The left headlight doesn’t turn on due to wiring..

I bought the following OEM parts for $2539.34 - 2 headlights - 1 daylight

I still have a cracked grill, emblem, and in need of a new front and back bumper. In desperate need of a paint job along with the paint of the rims chipping off.

I’d still have to pay for the brake light inspection along with registration fees this year. I’m estimating about 10k or so in repairs just to get this car to have no issues.

Overall, I’d end up putting in about 25k or more for 2015 IS250.

I didn’t want to sell because I don’t want to finance a car. I figured I’d still spend about 8k in repairs. Spend 8k and stay with a salvaged reliable Lexus, or spend 8k leasing a car and being left with nothing.

After running the numbers. I think selling the car is whats best and using the funds for something else.

If I invest all that money into the Lexus it won’t even be fully covered…

I bought another car to have a manual fun car, but before you bought it I ordered this gs350 shift knob, so happy in how it turned out!

I crashed my 2004 is200 on front right hand side, airbags deployed, didn’t seem to damage anything on engine, body only has minor damage, Car won’t start however since. It turns over but won’t fire, is there a reset button after a crash or has anybody encountered this issue

3 of the 4 clips seems to be broken off and the 4th won’t stay down

Hi everyone, hope all is well. Im new to the air game so im just figuring out how all of this works. Almost there. But I just cant wrap my brain around how others are tucking fronts and I cant tuck for anything… It is absolutely confusing… I had a friend try to spin the coil but for some reason he said it didnt move. I have a 2019 3IS.. Non F-Sport. Ive messaged these guys who have the same car as me (they have stock parts and only threw on air suspension and started tucking stock wheels) but no one can seem to figure it out so I came to here… Ive tried asking tire size (same size with a friend) Dont know if it’ll help but worth a try asking. Does anyone know whats my issue? Cant even find anything on Google. Looks so bad 😔

I wanna put in ambient lighting but I want them to come on with the interior im thinking of using an add a fuse for the tail lights the 7.5 amp.

I’m trying to find the Skid Control ECU for a 2009 IS350. After looking on parts.lexus.com, I can confirm the ECU is in the same location as the 2006-2008 models, the only difference is that they just don’t have the ECU listed anywhere in the ABS & VSC part list. That’s where you guys come in. If you’re willing to help me out, you just need to remove the little panel under the glovebox where the HVAC fan is, and under the HVAC fan you will see the ECU. If you’re willing to unbolt it, and send me a picture of the part number on it, that would be AMAZING.
