That boy zoomin'. Future track star. Seriously that kind of positive reinforcement will do wonders for him

Absolutely! Positive encouragement at a young age can make such a big difference.

so wholesome for them to cheer him on, its so nice when people let kids be kids and just support them <3

Kids are the most positive and wholesome people out there. They are also the most ruthless and mean motherfuckers to walk the face of this Earth.

Kids have that incredible mix of pure, unfiltered positivity and an honesty that can be brutally savage.

Perfectly describing my youngest niece as a toddler when she randomly came up to hug/cuddle with me while simultaneously asking why I'm so fat.

My 3-year old opened the door for my friend and asked him (5" 3") - "Why are you so short".

Well the later is an honest question…children are generally pretty darn honest

Empathy is learned.

oh tell me about, kids can and will gang up on an adult if someone manipulates them too lol

Yep, they’re like the dinosaurs. They’re friendly when they’re young. And then it’s eat or be eaten just like a dinosaur.

As a pre-k teacher I can confirm!!!

I read Robert sapolsky's determined last month and I have a whole new appreciation for positive reinforcement at a young age.

Novel or non-fiction? Thanks for sharing!

1

u/omswain 1d ago

Non fiction. It's about his denial of the concept of free will

u/minxxjessica 1d ago

so sweet of them to cheer this kid on!

u/Drunkengota 1d ago

Yeah, I thought it was more of a "supportive school humoring a kid with big dreams" but this kid is looks like Usain Bolt Jr. Those kids and bus driver just recognizing talent.

My guy looks like a kid running in fast forward. He's going places, and fast!

Someone has to be the fastest kid, we believe him

16

u/trixel121 1d ago

fastest kid is big accomplishment in first grade

u/NotMyBestEffort 15h ago

More than one NFL quarterback announced or wrote down that they would be QBs when they were very young. If the delusion is real enough, it's not delusion.

Zoomin' even with a backpack twice the size of him on his back!

11

u/WestleyThe 1d ago

Haha that was my first thought too! Imagine how fast he would be without the backpack

This video is gonna be a classic when he becomes a track star or some sort of famous athlete

u/Vikolaway91 1d ago

This kid isn’t just fast—he’s got a whole hype squad at his bus stop. Forget Olympic sprinters, we need this energy in every neighborhood.

Nothing like a daily dose of pure, unfiltered joy to remind you that life’s best moments are the unscripted ones. Keep sprinting, little legend. The world’s rooting for you.

3

u/SharkLime789 23h ago

It’s the kind of infectious joy that makes you want to go out and live life to the fullest, too

13

u/tragicdiffidence12 1d ago

What’s also impressive is that the other kids aren’t douchebags and are propping each other up. That’s a well raised community (yes, based on a single short video but that’s fine when it’s a good thing IMO)

If he got new trainers (sneakers, for my US folks), he'd be even faster, as we all know!

27

u/Powered-by-Chai 1d ago

Gotta get the ones that light up for extra speed

7

u/ZenA1ien 1d ago

Objectively true facts

u/Awkward_Average_7257 1d ago

Never say trainers my guy! Sounds awful

1

u/BotHH 1d ago

Never say my guy my dude! Sounds awful

1

u/Brocky36 1d ago

They are called trainers in the country I am from. The same country where "Trainers/Sneakers" were invented, as it happens.

But, thinking about it, I suppose I should completely dismiss that because a random person on Reddit says so, huh...? [/s]

u/Brettersson 1d ago

This is literally the first step to becoming the fastest kid alive, says so right in the manual.

8

u/ScarlettNebula 1d ago

He's got some serious speed; he's definitely a future track star in the making. That daily cheer from his bus stop buddies is going to do wonders for his confidence and self-esteem. It's incredible to see that kind of support and joy being shared.

3

u/celestialbirdie_ 1d ago

Yup ,he's really fast with great hype men

3

u/r3itheinfinite 1d ago

positivity brings positivity

3

u/dojo_shlom0 1d ago

Exactly what I was thinking. these things make more of an impact then you know! Kudos to the bus driver for supporting this behavior!

3

u/JustHereForKA 23h ago

Absolutely!! What a precious video ❤️

9

u/TheElderScrollsLore 1d ago

I’m all for it! But the parent in me gets tense. Someone (a parent) should be across the street to make sure there is no cars trying to pass the bus by cutting it off.

4

u/BackgroundBat7732 1d ago

He won't be a future track star if he doesn't watch the road before crossing. Running past the front of the bus is dangerous af.

2

u/IKnowItCanSeeMe 1d ago

Faster than I am, for sure!

2

u/P-Holy 1d ago

future roadkill the way he just bolted around the buss

3

u/louwiet 1d ago

I'm not crazy about him crossing the street without looking either. Let's just hope the bus driver made sure it was safe and that the kid exhibits safe practices in other situations.

2

u/ProudReaction2204 1d ago

or football star. his speed will conclude with him getting CTE, sadly.

2

u/latinaa4u 23h ago

Exactly…and his smile just says how positive he is…wholesome!

2

u/DonkeyRhubarbDonkey 23h ago

Run, Forest, run!

2

u/cebula412 22h ago

I mean, it's good that he's encouraged, but it shouldn't be done when he's crossing the street!!!

No no no no no no no. Always teach your kids to stop, look around and cross the street at a normal speed.

This kid looks so young. He's doing it under adult supervision but the next time he may want to demonstrate his speed when there are no adults around and he will get hit by a car!

Especially since it may be the USA or some other car-loving country where people ride XXXXL pick ups that are taller than a human and where cars have more rights than pedestrians. Brrr!

2

u/Alex5173 20h ago

no joke, he is pretty damn quick.

2

u/zkareface 1d ago

Unless he gets hit by a car for sprinting in front of a buss like that without even looking.

1

u/jesusismyupline 16h ago

Here the buses have flashing red lights and also a flip out stop sign. Traffic in both directions is required to stop 100 ft from the bus until the lights are off and the sign is flipped back in. This allows for the students to cross safely (they cross in front of the bus).

1

u/zkareface 16h ago

Signs don't stop cars though, it's still highly recommended to look before crossing right?

I often see people drive through red lights, past stop signs, against one way traffic etc.

1

u/jesusismyupline 15h ago

You can see the stop sign on the corner of the bus in the video, also the bus driver has him pause while he checks to make sure it's safe and then gives him the go ahead. Shut your fuckin' twat.
