Celebration again but don't you lose it a third time or we're throwing at you

149

u/Kleosi 20h ago

Hey, come over here and unlock this phone with face id so that we know it's yours and can throw it at you

92

u/SluggoRuns 20h ago

41

u/roysouradeep 17h ago

One time I forgot my phone outside of the local library. Came back to get it in the middle of the night and I screamed "yeahhh I found my phone thank god" and little did I know someone was having a party right next to the library and they were all screaming and cheering me on for finding my phone. People are awesome sometimes

Lol it reminds me of when I took my kids to the coastal Carolina fair. They had a climbing wall and my five y.o. was keen to scale it. So he's going after it, his mom and I just cheering him on, he gets close, slips, falls, gets there again, I'm yelling "Go Ritchie, Go!" And before I knew it, I looked around and there were fifty people cheering Ritchie on! He was so proud to ring that bell.

39

u/Magnifique21 20h ago

Oh my gosh! I love that for Ritchie. 😁

70

u/meganminxz 21h ago

a whole crowd hyping you up is a different feeling. it so full of positive energy!

20

u/Orthas 20h ago

I can see how people on stage get addicted to it tbh.

10

u/wap2005 18h ago

That sounds like a terrifying anxiety ridden nightmare to me. I never want that much attention, for anything.

5

u/TheDarkness33 19h ago

On another note, getting boohed on stage must be one of the worse feeling EVER

2

u/SmokeySFW 18h ago

I was just about to say this, that feeling when you're up on stage is electric!

Lot of Real Madrid jerseys. Makes sense. Football fans are built different

109

u/jasminejulias 21h ago

wholesome when it comes to things like this but a they turn into a different breed when its game time :))

26

u/Shabozz 20h ago

Literally hooligans.

11

u/RoninPilot7274 21h ago

Even The phone made a comeback

10

u/Critical_Studio1758 20h ago

Sometimes they cheer for strangers, sometimes they just wanna punch strangers in the face for wearing the wrong color. Football fans are built different.

1

u/Calm-Step-3083 20h ago

that’s just how us guys are.

1

u/ranini82 16h ago

In fact is Madrid city

1

u/thatcockneythug 20h ago

Right. Like all the violence and overturned cars?

3

u/xYEET_LORDx 20h ago

Built different

0

u/lewmaia 20h ago

Maybe Vini Jr. disagrees?

1

u/xYEET_LORDx 19h ago

Sure, go ahead and ask him how he feels about Real Madrid and Brazil fans

30

u/GuzzleNGargle 22h ago

This made me so happy. One of my phones was so badly cracked that you’d get glass slivers in your finger from trying to use it; however, it still got stolen off the bar (where I worked) and taken for a joy ride all around my city. They stopped like at 7 different places before it stopped moving in an area known for their trap houses.

12

u/Lorrdy99 21h ago

Why not getting joy from his joy? Free joy for everyone

4

u/WasabiPeas2 22h ago

We’ve all felt that moment of panic.

3

u/Thesmuz 22h ago

Hey we've all been there.

The sense of relief i felt after finding my phone and wallet after a music festival is probably comparable to heroin lmao

3

u/Horizontal_Bob 22h ago

Everyone shares the pain of a lost phone

59

u/TheKingOfSwing777 22h ago

That honestly makes a lot more sense then how happy he was for himself. Was kinda strange how stoked he got...it's just a phone.

293

u/Snowbank_Lake 22h ago

Losing your phone would be a stressful pain in the ass though. So many online accounts, possible credit card information… I’d feel much better if I found my phone too!

18

u/FullMetalKaliber 22h ago

Yup I don’t know my username for both of my banks. I’ve been relying on Face ID

9

u/PsychoNerd91 21h ago

Plus there's a certain thing people love in having closure. It's super satisfying.

3

u/laurawolffs 20h ago

i didn't think losing a phone was a big deal until i needed some of the info that was on there :>

1

u/spooky-goopy 18h ago

idk, it can be scary if you don't have a way to call someone if you need help, or if you ordered an Uber or need GPS. especially if you're alone and it's late.

i'd def be in a sobbing mess if i lost my phone at a concert. if i lost it at work or smth, or at the store, that's different--just an inconvenience and an expensive life lesson.

201

u/BottomPieceOfBread 22h ago

You’re awfully casual about a $1,000+ device that he couldn’t even get home without

95

u/HalfSoul30 22h ago

"Whoops, i dropped 10 $100 bills on the ground, nbd, ngl"

27

u/gochomoe 22h ago

And 4 credit cards

19

u/Drunkengota 21h ago

It’s a phone Michael, what could it cost? $10,000?

7

u/wynnduffyisking 21h ago

And your magnum condom that you use for your monster dong.

61

u/ChaosPLus 22h ago

Losing my phone would mean the following things for me:

  • my manga reader library gone(300 entries)

  • all my photos gone(I disabled cloud, it fucks with my gallery somehow)

  • I'd have to call the bank to recover my account

  • other things I don't even wanna think about + the fact I'd need to buy a new phone, which would hit my wallet like a truck if I wanted a proper one

16

u/13GallonsOfMilk 21h ago

Maaaan you need backups TODAY. your phone will get busted or lost eventually

16

u/travelingpinguis 22h ago

And idk if I can get get home, if I'm traveling...

16

u/ChaosPLus 22h ago

Oh yeah, my bus and public transit tickets are also digital

7

u/DangerousLoner 22h ago

Flights too

3

u/travelingpinguis 20h ago

And the pin you dropped for your hotel... sometimes, the name even!

1

u/DangerousLoner 20h ago

Ugh the pins! I often pin drop where I park Downtown or at the Beach because I always park super far and walk to my destination.

2

u/Dereklikesmetal 20h ago

Lmfao lose your phone and the first thing you’re worried about is manga

1

u/ChaosPLus 18h ago

It was the first thing that came to mind considering I was in the bus reading some

1

u/ilikepix 20h ago

jfc back up your phone, it can stop working at literally any time with no warning

26

u/AnotherDoubtfulGuest 22h ago

Found the person who’s never lost their phone.

0

u/I_Can_Haz_Brainz 13h ago

Knock on wood. I haven't either, but I guard it like a fat kid at a dessert bar.

-12

u/TheKingOfSwing777 22h ago

That's true. Never shattered a screen either.

25

u/GateEven 22h ago

Just a phone? You know phones ate life lines now? Banking, Personal info, social media, etc. Not only that but if you have apple, you fucked. You cant get your stuff back if you somehow lose your key. Everything is tied to an email. Sure you can get around all that but 80 percent (maybe more) dont have all their stuff linked together so you lose your phone you lose alot shit. It isnt just a phone in 2025.

Edit: yeah i know i got some typos. I really dont give a shit.

13

u/Joboj 22h ago

Because it's fun to get excited. Especially when people are hyping you up.

14

u/astrolad715 22h ago

Losing my iPhone is a disaster in my book. Not everyone has money to burn

Obviously i didnt buy 4 iphones 😅

8

u/SerowiWantsToInvest 21h ago

Horrendous take

6

u/heroinangell 22h ago

Some people have banking info hooked up to their phone so they dont need to remember a seperate piece of plastic. He could have important memories on their. He might not be near home and needs his phone for contacting purposes. He might not be able to get another phone. Phones are expensive man he could have just been excited about the fact he doesnt need to purchase another one.

7

u/TheRealRomanRoy 22h ago

The crowd is hyped. Thus he is hyped.

0

u/TheKingOfSwing777 22h ago

I think that's what's happening yeah. It's a great moment and video for sure. So wholesome!

8

u/Drunkengota 21h ago

lol, you know how big of a pain in the ass it is to not have your phone? He’s at a large gathering, so I’m guessing having a phone is probably pretty key for his evening. Plus, he’d have to shell out cash for a new one, take time the next day or two and go to the store. Phones can easily run over a thousand dollars, which he may or may not have.

17

u/AKFishtail115 22h ago

There’s always at least one of you…

6

u/MooseMalinois 22h ago

You are regarded

2

u/brewbase 21h ago

Seems like he was joining in their excitement, knowing it was for him but also just for something good happening.

2

u/Mister_Sins 19h ago

it's just a phone

I'd be stoked too if a person gave me back my $1000 phone.

2

u/No_Needleworker215 22h ago

Shit I’m happy for him too 😂

1

u/Prada_Zoe 22h ago

Wholesome for everyone, keep the love above

1

u/kookyabird 20h ago

I've been in a crowd that helped return something lost. I totally get it. The people around the guy who found the phone likely helped spread the word. Even the tiny bit of effort it takes to turn around to others and say "hey, did you lose your phone?" can get people invested in the quest to return it.

I like to think that what we see here is a fundamental trait of humanity. Every story I've read about bystanders banding together to pull someone from a burning vehicle, rescuing people from flooded areas, or pulling a dog from a river demonstrates it. Hell, even videos of little kids doing something mundane and getting cheers from onlookers, who have nothing invested in the child other than they've watched them struggle to do something for a minute.

1

u/beanbalance 20h ago

and I fucking hate it how he didnt thank the good guy, at least now on video!

1

u/ClassicVast1704 20h ago

This is what society should look like.

1

u/LegoFootPain 20h ago

"That could have been me!"

1

u/old_ass_ninja_turtle 20h ago

People like to celebrate stuff!

1

u/shinydragonmist 18h ago

We all know the fear of a lost phone

1

u/Dry_Staff_5728 18h ago

1

I love their energy. Being surrounded by those people will stop my aging process
