Alright, everyone. I apologize for the misunderstanding. I think my PC had issues with an old AMD driver, and after updating it, my FPS increased significantly.

After testing on another PC with a Ryzen 5 7600 + 7700XT, using the old driver on Ultra settings, I got 142.77 FPS, while with the new driver, I got 147.25 FPS. It did improve, but not as much as in the screenshot.

I guess I got lucky that my main PC saw such a big FPS boost after updating from the old driver.

i was going to say... those gains are astronomical for a driver update

Idk but I got 118 fps on ultra settings with my 7800xt + Ryzen 5 7600, kinda strange based on your result, what I should do to improve the performance?

Background programs and resolution are gonna play a factor. MH games on PC tend to be pretty CPU intensive, so running it at lower resolutions and with background programs running is gonna throw off results. I have the same GPU/CPU combo as you, and at 1440p with as little background tasks as I would normally have running, my averages are 65FPS natively, 136 with framegen and FSR and all that.

Basically what happened was before you had no frame gen now you do. It should have worked on your old driver but maybe it was just a bug?

Makes sense, I ran a few benchmarks before and after the optional update, my average on 24.12.1 was 34779, meanwhile on 25.2.1 my average score was around 34400

7800x3d and a 7900xtx stock respectively

I guess it's still worth a shot in the event someone has an unknown driver issue.
