Are yall actually afraid of Kut-Ku or is this a bit?

In fairness, he's not saying he fears the ku, he's saying he hates the ku. I'm not afraid of Khezu, but I don't like fighting it. I'm not afraid of Kushala Daora, but its annoying to fight.
I'll admit I'm scared of Dalamadur, but the fight isn't annoying. Its just a very intimidating presence. I hope to see it again

That being said, this man will shit once they add Yian Garuga

Some fights are not hard, they are just annoying. For me Kut-Ku is one of them.

Can i ask why?

there's a difference between thinking it's hard and just thinking it's so annoying you don't want to fight it. Kut-ku is not dangerous and will never kill me, that doesn't mean I ever want to fight it

I like fighting old monsters, they’re ingrained in my brain on how they fight which makes them very familiar. My only gripe in this quest is how Alma wanted me to capture it when theres no tranq bomb yet. Good thing it appears later in supplies lol. Also, the new burrow beak attack with perfect tracking is kindy cringe.

you can absolutely craft tranq bombs before high rank tho?

I thought for sure it had to be a joke. I guess maybe I was at an advantage after having spent hundreds if not a thousand hours on Monster Hunter Freedom 20 years ago (and not much Monster Hunter since then) and killing a lot of Kut-Kus and Garugas but they work almost exactly the same as back then and they're a breeze to fight, I'm confused how anyone would find them difficult or even just annoying after playing through the rest of the Wilds campaign.

Yeah i used to grind this dude a lot in 4u, not to shame people who do find it hard or annoying i just dont understand why. Hes just a funny chicken

If you know him he's fine, but remember your first time fighting him back in the playstation games? I don't think any other monster in wilds whips out the classic no wind-up instant charge before this guy. I think if you're new he would go against a lot of the conditioning that low rank gave you in regard to how you're supposed to position and react. That and he comes right at the start of high rank so if you're slacking on gear he'll hurt.

Nah, but fighting it has been an experience lol

I fought it the first time without too much trouble without carting once, just dealing with random bullshit go tactics, up until it tanked my FPS to literally being unplayable because of my mid tier computer. During the victory screen.

The game didn't save.

I tried again, and I got carted.

It may have been only once but goddammit it was enough to make me seethe hard, this fucking bird man LMAO
