You can actually use freecam to go into their nest in the scarlet forest right now, they were prolly cut pretty close to launch to be dripfed as TU content.
That being said, I have a prediction that Lagiacrus will be a weird situation where they may actually drop in popularity after they release - the recent fan push due to their absence has dramatically inflated their popularity. Hopefully a much more fun fight than 4th generation Lagiacrus lol
I could see him being reworked into a menace like R.Brachy or Rajang in World. If they do that his popularity would still remain high until they kneecap him in future games
considering mizutsune has gotten moves from soulseer (or there just is a soulseer mode in its fight now? unclear exactly as of yet) it's incredibly likely that they will in some way buff or change lagiacrus' fight to be more difficult, maybe by ripping moves from ivory or even abyssal lagiacrus.
I mean it'd be kinda hard to take moves from abyssal, since abyssal is an entirely underwater fight.
anyway, generations did have its own approach with making lagiacrus more threatening on land, but this approach wasn't very popular. in gen, he got a lot of big AOE lightning moves that were completely unique to gen.
I could see them taking cues from ivory, but something I could also see them do is increasing his mobility in shallow water, given how much water the scarlet forest has. that way, he'd still be at a disadvantage in zones without water.

i mean if you lack imagination! im sure there's at least one or two moves they could take and repurpose. sure they couldn't take his whirlpools/tornadoes but there's probably something with his electricity you could do.
they'll probably do what they did with uth duna and give him special shit in his nest to show off his aquatic chops and perhaps give him some extra oomph on land in generic ways
Prolly not, its HRP/zenny values and whatnot are already in the game and it is unlocked before the HR apex monsters, same tier as the HR guardians and Xu Wu
Mizu has some flame attacks a la the harder Mizu versions like Violet and Soulseer, so I would be shocked if the difficulty was much lower than Gore Magala.
