In Wilds, I started the Rathian area quest with a friend, and it put me in there with my regular gear instead of the switch axe I chose. Do you think I could be banned for getting a good time with that?

Were I you, I wouldn't have risked it by continuing with my regular gear. That kind of weakens your case.
