Some guy was pissed about shielded weapons

I joined this quest to hunt a tempered Arkveld because it had a unholy amount of rewards and this guy was who I joined was running the hunting horn. Anyhow this guy began to get angry because he was trying to max out DPS or something. To be honest I don't know but anyhow, he wasn't happy that I was using Gunlance and told me to get off it for two reasons, weapons with guards are inherently no skill by design, and guarding takes away from DPS. Anyhow he proceeded to text something to the other guy who joined which was a SnS telling him to get off SnS or don't block. He spent most of the hunt texting lmao

This isn't anything extreme but it was amusing to me and I wanted to share

I mean there’s a whole counter and clash mechanic with shield that does damage and what about gems or skills that give you bonus attack damage for countering/guarding. Honestly that player kind of sounds like as they’re playing horn they want you to focus on damage as he can probably heal/buff you or whatever but still just play the game with the mechanics it gives you. There’s no point not using a piece of kit in your arsenal if it’s available and can do damage or counter something
