Next run will be Walz and AOC.

I would prefer AOC and Walz, but you guys are not seemingly ready for such a wild ride.

Next run will be JB

He’ll be on the short list for sure. Don’t forget Josh Shapiro either. Booker may try again, as well as Buttigieg…..

u/WookieLotion 11h ago

Shapiro shouldn’t. Buttigieg would be good but America won’t elect him.

Yeah I love pete but I really dont think America will elect an openly gay man anytime soon unfortunately.

That man is everything what the USA needs right now though. Such a shame there are so many backward ass cowabunga caveman able to vote. I’ve seen the interviews with voters who did not know he was gay, and after they learned that fact they immediately wanted to retract their vote smh..

tbh i wish it would be ossoff/beshear or pritzker/ossoff. we need ossoff somewhere in there

u/Dante2005 13h ago

Sorry who. Not from the USA?

JB Pritzker - Governor of Illinois

2

u/Atkena2578 8h ago

Please no. Us Illinoisans would like to keep him to ourselves for as long as possible. We don't get competent governors who won't land in prison after their term every new moon.

JB Pritzker

Ah yes, he speaks truth.

Love all that I have heard form this guy.

Newsom will likely be in there too, he's prepping by veering right which is disturbing.

Yeah if Newsom is nominated by the DNC they're done for. Luckily I doubt he gets anywhere near that close.

3

u/voodoodahl 9h ago

VOTERS nominate candidates. JFC.

2

u/cape2cape 8h ago

The DNC doesn’t choose the nominee.

3

u/WatchItAllBurn1 12h ago

Newsome doesn't have a chance in hell, they are more likely to vote a jew (Shapiro or pritzker) than him.

which is to say not very likely.

u/WatchItAllBurn1 12h ago

As much as i think it should be her, realistically, she is not a winning choice(they have ran two women, and both of them lost to republicans) most likely Walz and Beshear, or Booker(his senate speech has won him some fans)

Now I am not saying impossible, but there is a fair number of people who would make it a point to vote just to vote against buttegieg becauae he is gay, they would probably also vote against Shapiro or Pritzker because they are Jewish, and lastly would vote against aoc because she is a she.

2

u/Dante2005 12h ago

Sure, but your country would be worse off.

3

u/WatchItAllBurn1 12h ago

I absolutely agree, but what the Dems need now is to win.

The reality is that she said she doesn't want to run. so given that I am looking at the realistic situation.

6

u/Dante2005 12h ago

Yea, you are not wrong.

I was being idealistic.

Love to you fine folks.

1

u/Bloomberg12 9h ago

I don't think America would be worse off with Walz.

2

u/Budderfingerbandit 10h ago

The difference is that AOC spins up the base, the last few nominees from the DNC have been incredibly bland. You can't run a standard milktoast politician against a populist running on a nationalism platform.

u/Onlythegoodstuff17 12h ago

Let's hope Buttigieg gets another go.

I get the appeal, but AOC simply doesn’t have the experience. She’s never been an executive.

1

u/Dante2005 10h ago

doesn’t have the experience.

What counts as experience to you?

She grew in an all American background and pushed herself forward.

She cares and wants what is best for American people - maybe not for oligarchs!?!

Sorry, can you explain how she doesn’t have experience?

She’s never been an executive.

Again I am from the EU but : Since 2019 she has worked as the U.S. representative for New York's 14th congressional district.

Some of you people have an issue with Woman, gays, trans, whatever. I like people who are passionate and qualified.

(not GP, but am in US)

House Rep -> President is a somewhat uncommon jump for people to do. Usually, people spend time as Senator, Governor, or VP beforehand. Aside from our current president, the last person to be president without having done one of those roles first was Eisenhower, who never had an elected office before but did have a lot of experience in the military during WWII.

Also, in terms of age, she'd be the youngest president we've ever had, by several years.

I'd 100% support her for president, but she does objectively have less experience than your typical president, and that definitely will be used against her in a campaign.

1

u/Dante2005 9h ago

Ok, I get what you are saying.

But look at the times we live in.

My point was that she would be a great president.

I am not from the USA, so I am being idealistic.

She and Sanders would actually Make Americans All Democrats MAAD?!?!

Can't think why I was never hired for their campaign. :)

1

u/DreadY2K 9h ago

Absolutely, I agree that she'd be great as president, I was just steel-manning the "she's inexperienced" argument.

Being a legislator isn’t an executive.

The idea that I have to hate woman to think executive experience is important for the most impactful executive position on the planet is pathetically laughable. She has a lot of potential to do the job well, but it’s too important a role to give to someone who has never led anything before. Bring passionate doesn’t magically impart the ability to manage such a complex operation as the federal Executive department well. Give her a cabinet position, make her a governor, I don’t care. She just can’t learn how to be an exec on the job as President. Leading such a large organization is an actual skill that needs to be developed like any other.

Shapiro will probably get in there. Possibly Corey Booker.

1

u/Dante2005 9h ago

I have no idea who these people are!

2

u/Guilty_Camel_3775 9h ago edited 9h ago

Gov Shapiro from PA whom was Kamala's other choice for a VP running mate.  He most definitely could be a strong contender for President.

Senator Corey Booker that just protested against  Trump for over 25 hours on the Senate floor and broke a 75 year filibuster record held by Strom Thurman this week. The last hour and a half of his speech had me cheering and in tears! Amazing!

I can see Newsom running too. Possibly AOC. Maybe Tim Walz.

The list of possibilities is looking great!

u/Dante2005 9h ago

Thank you for spending the time to educate a far flung person.

Cheers.

u/aerodeck 8h ago

No it won’t.
