When and why did rubber start getting picked back up by the tires under yellow?
It gets mentioned on TV from time to time that the rubber gets picked back up under yellow. This is especially apparent at concrete tracks.
I don't remember this always being the case though. The first time I remember specifically noticing it was in 2010 at Dover.
I've added photos from 2024, 2010, and 2002 at Dover. They are all from late in the race, after and before a yellow. You can see the rubber gets picked up in '24 and '10 but not in '02. The track is just as dark in '02 under yellow as it is under green.
Does anyone know why this starting happening? Or at least why it's so much more noticeable than it was 20 some years ago?

How Chase Elliott turned into the ultimate underdog.
Chase Elliott is a NASCAR Cup Series Champion but you’d never know it based on how everyone talks about him and how he’s treated by his team. Fair play, go ahead and say all that shit about Chase because of his personal opinion. This disgraceful reaction to his Darlington comments have lit a burning fire under Chase’s ass, now you’re all fucked…
At track radio options and experience
This is just a question as to what most people's experience has been with radios at the track. I have an old radio that I normally use at races, but I think it's giving up the ghost. So, until I feel like paying for a new handheld, I was wondering what is the best way to stream the radio from your smart phone for the at track experience? I have used the nascar app before when I either forgot my radio or was loaning it out, but it was always a lap or so behind the action. Is it better to get a 3rd party app like tunein or is the Nascar app truly the best option? I know a handheld is best, busy curious what everyone else thinks it has experienced.

Track Nicknames
So we have Darlington as the Lady in Black, Bristol as the Last Great Colosseum and world's fastest half mile, Pocono as the Tricky Triangle I know they were trying to label Charlotte as The Beast of the Southeast (don't know if that really stuck or not. ) and Martinsville as the paper clip
That's all that's coming to mind for me what are some other tracks that have nicknames ??

Remember the old PEDS barriers at Indianapolis Motor Speedway?
And how they exploded like confetti when they got hit in the IROC race in 1998? Safety has come such a long way since then.

Truck Race
With the absence of a truck race tonight, I’m looking to watch an old race replay. Anyone have any favorite truck races to rewatch?

How do you visit team shops?
This is a dumb question, but my buddy and I are in North Carolina and we are looking to visit some NASCAR team shops today. How does that exactly work? Can you just walk in and explore? I’m from Illinois so this is all new to me 🤣

Christian sponsored NASCAR diecast
Anyone off the top of their head know a good NASCAR (or Indycar I suppose) diecast with a Christian sponsor? My NASCAR loving nephew is celebrating first communion in a few weeks and think this would make a good gift for him. I know Morgan Shepherd used to have a Christian organization sponsor, but not sure that was ever made in a diecast. Not sure if the "He Gets Us" car exists in that form or not.
And please, please, spare me the "Christianity is bad" lecture, I'm just trying to make my nephew feel good on an important day for him and his family.

Standings are confusing
So my gf and I are confused as to why so many of the chevys are in front of Bell and others. Elliott has no wins or even stage wins, yet he’s in front of a lot of guys. Do the standings take into consideration last years stats as well or something? Idk what we are missing. So confused.
