SGA doesnt get a single freethrow attempt, first time this season

1.7k Upvotes

Lets be honest, there were some obvious calls that wouldve been called against anyone but the Lakers but anyway, SGA hasnt had a game without a FT since 2021 according to the Thunder Postgame.

James Harden on the Clippers this year vs. last year:

“It’s just different. It’s just different. Different team… We got guys that know their role and know what they’re supposed to be doing consistently on a night to night basis. From the beginning of the season. It’s just a different team.”

What makes it different?

“Personnel. You guys know. You know the players we had last year."

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Ends His Streak: 0 FTA for the First Time Since December 2021

SGA had 0 FTA attempted in a game for the first time in over 3 years, and the result was an OKC blow-out loss. They particularly struggled on the defensive end against LA, but also could not get any offense going. And the fact that SGA did not get to the line did not help their offense either. And another thing to note is that on Friday vs. HOU Rockets SGA also had only 2 FTA.

In the playoffs he will also most likely get a less friendly whistle as games will get more physical.

Looked absolutely unstoppable out there, and reminded the rest of the world who the true best player is, and also showed Nico Harrison and the rest of the Mavs FO how absolutely braindead they are.
