*Update on trying stovetop oats for the first time*

So yeah, everyone was right!! I looooved the texture and the more full (nutty?) flavor of stovetop oats! I followed the advice to toast the oats first in a dry pan until they were about two shades darker before adding liquid. Thank you for all the input!! I attached pictures of the same recipe with only one ingredient difference: the first is stove top + ground flax and the second is microwave + chia seeds. Also the first is mixed already. You can really see the difference in consistency and texture!! Both delicious but stovetop really is a game changer if you have time.

Oatmeal Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal!

Recipe: Add butter into frying pan. Toss in sliced apples and let it soak up the butter for a bit. Add a tbsp of brown sugar, a tsp of cinnamon powder. Take it off the heat after 2-3 mins. Top it over overnight oats (mine has Greek Yogurt).

I like the hot and cold situation but you can definitely have the oats cooked on the stovetop instead!

Thick oats yogurt parfait

This has been my go-to breakfast for years. It ticks all the boxes nutritionally (whole grains, protein, fruit), is easy to make, only uses 1 bowl, and makes a quick breakfast before work.

Make thick oats (I do 3/4 cup oats and 3/4 cups water and microwave on high for 3 minutes). Spoon yogurt on top. Top with fruit and nuts. (First picture)

Or you can use frozen fruit - I put the frozen fruit in the bottom of the bowl, add the oats and water, and microwave. Then top with yogurt, more fruit if desired, and nuts. (Second picture)

I love oatmeal but it's too hot sometimes. In this recipe, the thick oats cool off quickly so it's easy and fast to gobble this up before leaving for work.

Baked Oats baked oats in the microwave.. is that just porridge ?

ok so i’m looking for quick breakfast idea high in fibre. basically im looking at different ways to use oats.

i’ve seen baked oats and a simple recipe of 40 grams oats, 100 grams greek yoghurt, an egg, and something mixed in (fruit or jam etc) baked for 15/20 minutes.

do you think this would be possible to cook in the microwave for like 2 minutes or would it be better off if i just made a simple porridge with oats, milk and fruit/jam etc ?

Kinda looks like poo. Tastes amazing. Sashe of milo flavourd oats (on special @woolies) , tbsp chia seeds, few drops of toffee flavour from ‘myprotien’ pinch of salt. Microwaved with almond milk until cooked. Half a scoop choc protien mixed in. Topped with some rasberry jam, mixed berries and a spoon of plain Greek yogurt. Protien, carbs, healthy fats. Perfect tasty fuel

My new favorite - blueberry baked oats

Post image

I have become seriously addicted to baked oatmeal and have so far tried: carrot cake, chocolate banana, peach almond, cranberry coconut and date walnut (my fave until today). Today I made simple banana and added TJ's wild blueberries. I wasn't sure how it would work if I added lemon juice so I put a teaspoon of lemon curd in my Greek yogurt. It was really amazing! Next time I'll add some poppy seeds.

I’ve seen people make overnight oats with oat flour but haven’t seen anyone post about making stovetop oatmeal with oat flour… it’s amazing?! I know this isn’t a revolutionary concept but it’s new to me lol. I’m in love with the texture
