This is my first ever time grading a card, after finding this one in my old collection. How much is it realistically worth? And is it better to sell vintage cards at card shops or online like eBay?

So i pulled this beauty yesterday [NOTE: Its white marks are from the toploader, not the card. I just wasn't confident enough to pull it out after placing it inside lmao], and my so little knowledge about grading made me think of 2 options: PSA, or European Grading, since I'm from Spain. I just saw that PSA is now stopping receiving submissions from Europe, so I was wondering if European was a good option in order to sell the card since PSA has the biggest acceptance and prestige from the community. Thx!!

I'm in Canada and can grade via a store. $350 raw, $40 total to grade, $1150 if it hits (prices are CAD). Some whitening on the corners but looks well centered to me. Worth trying? Cheers!

Looking for input and feedback on what grade you think this base set 2 Charizard would receive? Looking to buy it from someone that has it priced around $600, which is between a PSA 8 and 9. Not sure if it’s worth the risk!

My only area of concern is the bottom left corner…if looking at the front.

Should I get this graded? I’m pretty new to all of this and don’t have the eyes to make a proper judgement. I think there’s some whitening on the bottom right and left of the card (I “marked” it with white dots). I tried to remove the white dot above Zoroark’s claw in hopes that it’s just dust but it isn’t so there’s a pixel missing.

I want CGC to grade this card, I live near their office.

Found in my old PC and would love a 1, but not sure of the qualifications for it tbh

They finally finished the grading process! Now just waiting for them to ship back. These are cards I'm never selling anyway due to sentimental value, and I was under no illusions that any would grade higher than a 7 other than maybe the Umbreon or Rockets Sneak Attack which looked pretty clean to me. Kinda surprised the Lugia didn't get a 6 too, looked cleaner to me than the Dragonite but I guess they were harsher on that card. 😂 saw these today and was like know what hell yeah. I felt pretty good for them being raw in a trashed binder for 20+ years! Just glad to have them slabbed and preserved in the end.

One of my only childhood cards that is still nm, thinking about maybe getting it graded someday when I can afford to send some cards in. What do we think, 7, 8, 9 if the grader is half blind?

A small reminder for anyone outside of the US who grades with PSA.

With the new tariffs in place, PSA have explained how it will affect submissions. On top of regular PSA fees and delivery/insurance, you’ll pay your countries tariff % as the value of the order. I don’t even think they allow you to complete the submission form if you’re outside of the US at this time anyway.

This clearly means using PSA won’t be economically viable for a lot of us, me included.

So don’t forget to cancel your PSA Collectors Club membership - it’s set to auto-renew by default at $150/200 dollars and being unable to use the service means you’ll be paying the cost of a plane ticket, mini break or fancy meal out for a few (pretty uninteresting) magazines a year.

Never had anything graded before, I’m wondering if this tiny ding will prevent it from being a 10?

This was my very first submission, I sent my Sawsbuck, Mantyke, Sleeping Eevee, and SIR Chi-Yu.

I was extremely strict with what cards I sent, 100% confident all of them would get AT LEAST a 9. My Eevee and Chi-Yu came back 10’s, but the other two were 8’s. I was going to ask the sub why, but noticed that at some point during the process, they were scratched. Really disappointing, but at least I got a couple 10’s!

Sadly, I did not think to take pictures of the cards beforehand.

Sent through GameStop on 02/12, just received grades today 04/07
