❓ Question People from around the world. Do you smile at people?

I’m Canadian and recently went to America.

Growing up it’s considered very rude to not exchange a “good morning/evening” or ATLEAST a smile if you walk past someone on a street. Or even in restaurants.

Came to America and people looked at me as if I was threating their first born child when I smiled at them.

I’ve always heard the “Canadians are nice” stereotype but damn I didn’t realise baseline respect here is considered askew in other places.

💬 Advice Needed any late afternoon social activities

By the time 2/3 PM rolls around, work is over and I'm itching for some positive social interaction. Don't need to make dinner for the family for another 3+ hours and everyone else is still at work, school, or in activities. This is a dead spot in my day that would be perfect to do things with people. But I can't find anything in my mid-sized family friendly town that's for adults only.

Am I missing some event/activity type going on in this time frame?

(I'm only going to be particular in that it can't be fitness or sports related because I do that first thing in the morning, oh and god forbid anything that involves more screen time)

❓ Question To the Starbucks DIY Drink Enthusiasts: How do you make your "sweet treat" coffee?

Happy Saturday!

I make my coffee in aeropress and always use Alpro or Oatly oatmilk (more of a soft latte situation). For a special sweet treat, I'll drop a piece of milk chocolate in the coffee shot and let it melt fully before adding the heated oatmilk. Needs occasional stirring but tastes like Starbucks hot chocolate with caffeine.

I'm still looking for a way to make a sweet iced coffee drink without struggling with a syrup not melting properly or not being fully mixed throughout the drink. Hope to learn something new today!
