Just to put this out. Military retirement is something that starts years in advance. It's conversations with your family and unit at least two years before you plan on retiring, and once you're on that last year it's difficult to back out of it. Also the whole thing with,"he wasn't a SGM" is crap. He could have easily taken a reduction in rank because he already did his high three. Or maybe he was put in a SMG Position without being promoted and his unit dragged their feet after promising to promote him.

Aparthied Clyde's family fled south africa specifically to avoid having their kids serve the mandatory military term their birth country had. They then snuck into america on a student visa/violated that to start doing work.
How is it whatsboutism? Elon and Trump both dodged service, and they have a track record of making fun of others about their service or lack thereof even if their situation is completely different… it’s some solid projection from them yet again.
