Spanish is my first language, and Sesame Street taught me English. This deeply fucking upsets me. I wish the worst on these mouth breathing morons. Who the fuck beefs with SesameStreet?
No, don't. Keep getting your feelings hurt and turning to increasing amounts of pharmaceuticals to get you through your day. We're all rooting for you!
Is Michael Jackson's doctor still practicing? He needs to get some calming prescriptions from him. I'm sure the doctor has totally learned his lesson from last time!
Honestly though while Elon Musk deserves some emotional and physical pain and to lose lots of money, I wish he'd get TF off of ketamine and cocaine and have a "come to Jesus" moment where he gets at least some of his sanity back.
(It doesn't have to be a Christian or even religious moment, the syaing just means it's a "get your s°°t together and stop abusing drugs and get some of your sanity back" moment.)
Like at least a rational sane politically involved rich man is better than an irrational insane politically involved rich man. Also, an irrational insane man is less likely to feel guilt at their actions or stop regulary doing harmful BS than a rational sane man is.
I know fully well that Elon Musk was never truly a good man (since no good person racially segregates their own factories for no logical reason or disowns their own child simply for being trans) but he was at least a mostly rational and sane man.
I honestly think that right now Elon Musk's main motivation for supporting and being part of the Trump administration is because he honestly irrationally stupidly believes that if the U.S. federal government cuts his taxes and cuts federal spending, then they will have more money to spend on space programs to help him build a functioning colony on Mars within his own lifetime. I think if Elon Musk suffers enough pain from everyone constantly rightly criticising him and yelling at him and causing Tesla to lose 100s of billions of dollars in stock value then that could be the emptional catalyst to push him to get off ketamine and cocaine and to hopefully finally start thinking straight again.
Of course ketamine brain damage is said to be permanent but one can always hope.
(I believe this because Robert Downey Jr. said in an interview something like "I think Elon Musk needs to stop focusing so much on stuff like building a colony on Mars and more on stuff here on Earth" and he would probably know what Elon Musk is about since he and Kevin Feige(?) became friend with Elon Musk back when they were looking for a real life Tony Stark like person to interview and gain creative inspiration from when they were first starting to develop the film Iron Man.)
I meeeean... I don't hold such hope for him but to be fair, I've been wrong before. You just keep on hoping! Maybe somebody will hear you.
Isn't it absolutely insane that the thing that could save the ENTIRE WORLD is only that the people who have all the money and power would choose to have empathy and a drive to do what's right for the greater good of humanity? It seems so effortless to the majority of us. I actually know at least one person who I suspect might have sociopathic leanings, who STILL goes out of their way to help people. There is a clear line, and these fools are ignoring that, like all the evil they do won't ever reeally matter.
Right? I feel like even the most self centered fuck should be able to come to the conclusion that when more people in society prosper, it's a better place to live. When you help pick granny off the asphalt when she falls, you no longer have to worry about stepping over a crying granny.
The issue is he's not just a psychopath, he's a sociopath. Contrary to pop culture, a psychopath is someone who has no empathy, perhaps like your friend. They aren't always violent, and sometimes they come to a rational conclusion that while they don't feel empathy, acting in ways that are beneficial to those around them ingratiates them and helps them succeed. They just wouldn't feel remorse for stabbing someone in the back if it benefitted them. They tend to not care about lying or manipulative behavior.
Sociopaths are emotionally volatile. They engage in risky behavior, are impulsive and erratic. They disregard social norms, and will have emotional outbursts, often of anger. They have a very hard time forming any sort of emotional bond with anyone.
Psychopaths have brains incapable of empathy. They just don't have it. Sociopaths are more created... While it seems a genetic pre-dispensity is needed, you also need to experience early childhood trauma. And we know that Elon's dad isn't the best guy.
Amen to that. All of these men (and Stalin, Hitler, Mussolini, I'm sure many more) had violent, unloving, and/or lonely childhoods.
I myself have seen how the feeling of societal rejection can disconnect a person from social empathy. The trick is not to let the baser feelings win.
The last time I was reading up on it, "psychopath" was the outdated term used for what is now "sociopath", and what you're describing as sociopathy is now called Antisocial Personality Disorder.
I think it's that the more money a person has more you get insulated from reality unless they're a very empathetic person and/or until pain hits them in some way, shape or form.
I think yours and Elons definition of "what's good for humanity" will be worlds apart.
These fuckers usually believe that just because they're good at ripping off people and getting rich, that means that they have all the answers and know better than everybody else.
They don't.
I'd much prefer if rich people would just go back to "being rich" in the old days. So... basically fucking off on their yachts to their private islands and stop bothering the rest of us with your bullshit.
What's the point of being rich and still having to deal with other people? :P
If I had Elons money, I'd have told y'all to go fuck yourselves 15 years ago :D
I don't think he was ever sane or normal he just wasn't able to go fully mask off until recently. His entire schtick about Mars isnt about his fart sniffing "keep the dim light of humanity shining" shit he was pushing he just wants to plaster his name in the history books.
I think what really broke him was getting booed off stage at the Dave Chappele show in SF. Once he was faced with the truth of the SF tech bro crowd hating his guts he's just been on a meltdown ever since. I'm sure his cognitive dissonance was able to rationalize previous criticism as internet trolls or whatever.
Having an entire crowd of people youre trying to suck up to and impress publicly voice their outright disdain for you must have been pretty world shattering for a textbook narcissist.
I think you’re overestimating how normal musk is without drugs. Sure, the drugs make him worse but he’s always been a theatrical, dramatic, insane narcissist.
I don’t think Musk being a total douche bag has anything to do with ketamine usage. If anything the ketamine is potentially holding some of it back his delusional shitbaggery.
From my understanding he’s always been a total piece of shit but was kept under wraps by his PR team(which I believe were fired a few years ago)that kept trying to portray him as a real life Tony Stark.
He has always been a fraud and a liar and was never the real life Tony Stark as much as people wanted to believe he was. Politics aside, this moment was always coming for Tesla due to it being valued entirely on false hype and undelivered promises. There is no turning back for Musk now. He is on the path to self destruction and it couldn’t be any more deserved.
Devil's advocate though, while Elon Musk is a jackass and is definitely just a rich businessman who got rich helping creating the easy to code PayPal website rather then being any sort of proper engineer or software developer, Elon Musk DID successfully create and run a company that has mass produces tens of thousands of electric cars and did a big part in making electric cars cool and mainstream with the Porsche 911 inspired Model 3.
Also, he helped make an at least slightly successful spaceflight company with at least somewhat reusable rockets and helped create a cybernetics company.
While I think a Mars colony will take 1000 years if its even possible at all, the spaceflight company could one day help people do asteroid mining which could reduce the need for environmentally unfriendly mining on Earth. While cybernetics could end up being misused by authoritarian states, they could also help disabled people walk again and/or use replacement robotic limbs.
I just wish Elon Musk had just stayed TF out of politics and stayed TF away from street drugs such as ketamine and cocaine.
Elon Musk didn’t create Tesla. His cybernetics company hasn’t achieved anything significant beyond what already exists and will never achieve what he claims it will.
SpaceX has not succeeded in anything that was previously thought to be hard to achieve functionally, only viably. And SpaceX hasn’t cracked the viable part.
You’re a better person than I. Even if he changed his ways and begged for forgiveness I would still be the first in line to push a button that automatically yeets someone into the sun. Actions have consequences.
Thanks for saying that, although hypothetically speaking if say I met a genie/djinn and he said "I can give you a wish without you having to give anything up but the only wish I can give you for complicated reasons is to magically put Elon Musk in a fairly humane but not exactly comfortable prison for the rest of his life as well as make him lose all his money and property" I'd take that wish in a heart beat.
There are only 3 reasons I probably wouldn't accept the wish if it was changed from "give him life in prison" to "yeet him into the sun".
The first is that I just know that I'm one of those guys who while I sometimes say and think that I'd do whatever action is necessary during an extreme situation in order to "save the day" and/or "make the world a better place", I know if I murdered Elon Musk I'd be very emotionally shaken during the event itself and would feel sad, guilty and depressed for years afterwards, even if it was morally and ethically and pragmatically the right thing to do. I know that even if I ultimately decided to yeet Elon Musk into the sun I'd still catch myself thinking years later "even though he committed a lot of evil he also did a lot of good in terms of making and running companies that improved human technology such as his electric car company and his spaceship company and his human/machine interface company, so I wonder if he truly deserved to die?"
The second reason is that I'd worry about the political backlash from all the crazed MAGA people if Elon Musk was just suddenly murdered. (I think the MAGA people need to be slowly "de-programmed" and/or "de-radicalised" not just "slapped down" if only because just "slapping them down" won't work.) Like AFAIK it could LITERALLY create a Second Civil War during which time the crazies would probably at least try to hunt me down and hang me.
The third reason is that I think it might be better if Elon Musk is just ultimwtelt forced to relinquish control of his companies while the companies are still functional. I think if he died suddenly that could cause the companies to go bankrupt or dissolve or cease to exiwt, whereas if he stays alive but deservedly loses control of his companies that won't happen. I still support Tesla and SpaceX and Neuralink, I just don't support Elon Musk anymore. (That being said I think those companies deserve to be subject to stricter government regulations involving Tesla's "self-driving" mode, SpaceX's environmental record and the capacity for misuse inherent in Neuralink's machines.) I think those 3 companies still deserve to exist and thrive since their products seem like they'll ultimately help humanity overall and that Elon musk deserves at least some credit for creating and starting up those companies (as oppsoed to CEOs who create a company and pocket the government funding and don't even try to create anything real or substantial) it's just that I think Elon Musk doesn't deserve to run or profit from those companies anymore. (Hopefully if Elon Musk lost control of those companies they'd each just pay him a relatively small severance package and then he'll stop profiting from as well as "leading" those companies.)
No, Sesame Street is owned by the nonprofit org, Sesame Workshop. HBO licensed the show, meaning that they paid sesame workshop for the rights to air the show. While HBO is ending that agreement, we can still of course watch Sesame Street on PBS (while it still exists smh)
He’s so oddly shaped. It’d be sad if he weren’t a giant piece of fucking shit, so because he IS in fact a giant piece of fucking shit, it’s funny and we should all point and laugh at him.
