Am I getting this right? It actually costs MORE to watch the Red Sox if you live in the Boston/New England area — the team’s own home market?

Here’s how the scam works (and yes, it feels like a scam):

MLB.TV charges $150/year to stream every out-of-market game. So if you're a Red Sox fan living outside New England, congrats — you get to watch every Sox game and every other MLB game for that one price.

But if you actually live in Boston or anywhere in New England? MLB.TV blacks out Red Sox games. Why? Because NESN owns the local broadcast rights — and they want their own cut. So if you're local, you now have to cough up $150/year for NESN360 just to watch Red Sox and Bruins games. That’s it — no other MLB games, no broader access. Just two teams.

So let's break it down: - Out-of-market fans: $150 = Red Sox + every other MLB game. Great deal. - Local fans: $150 for NESN360 = Red Sox + Bruins. That's it. Fractional value.

NESN has somehow made it more expensive and less valuable to be a loyal, local fan. Gone are the days when living near your team meant easier access. Now it just means you're stuck with NESN’s paywall and worse options.

Seriously — who at NESN thought this was a good idea?

I can't think of any reason for this unless he tweaked something warming up in the rain?

Flew in from Colorado to watch the Red Sox today for my 40th birthday. Obviously it rained out, I have to fly back tomorrow before the game, well because adulting sucks and I have to go to work.

Anyways, my wife paid for my name to be on the board in center field board during the middle of the second. Would some grab a photo of it for me? I would love to be able to have the memory even if I can’t be there to see it.

For me it has to be Papi Vs. Gregg. Two big bulls going at it. Gregg is a little bitch but props for being so dumb as to go after a guy as big as Ortiz?

Honorable mention to Crisp's Matrix move against that Rays pitcher and Youkilis against Porcello. In which Youk looked like he wasn't even sure what he wanted but was just not gonna put up with being hit again. I'm pretty sure no actual punchs were thrown in Youk V. Porcello

At the start- i know this is a long shot but figured worth a chance.

Ok- so I am writing this post in the hope of finding some home footage or pictures of the 1999 home run derby that may have captured my dad and I. More specifically I am looking for anyone who may have pictures or footage of the left field pavilion, where my dad and I were sitting.

The story goes- my mom, siblings and I met my dad in the city after work to go to the fan experience they were putting on as part of the all star game weekend. I was 7 and the world’s biggest baseball fan. I had this day marked on my calendar for months. My dad just had a long day working construction during the big dig. He needed to get something to eat but I kept telling him that we were going to be late for the experience and, sure enough, we showed up as they were closing the doors. As most 7 year old baseball junkies would i just started bawling my eyes out at the front door of this fan experience. There was the nicest female worker of this experience that came over and handed us two tickets to the home run derby that night! It was unreal. We weren’t expecting to be at the derby so we didn’t bring a camera My dad is the typical Boston construction worker guy. Not very nostalgic in the moment so he didn’t keep the tickets. I really only have my memories of the experience.

If you’re able to help me out I would be forever grateful. My dad’s not getting any younger and I look back on those times now with great fondness.

I'm going to tomorrows game I really want the bobble head any idea what store will have it and how early should I go 😭 Also any hidden gem foods inside of Fenway? I like to eat at this Greek spot near Fenway and dogs at the game but I wanna try something new inside of the park
