Succession: Who is the Best Villain?
Kendall Roy (Jeremy Strong) wins best acting category! Well deserved I would say. Although I personally preferred Matthew Macfadyen’s performance. For day four, who do you think is the best villain?

I almost didn't finish the show because of Mattson
Four episodes to go in the show and I ABSOLUTELY wanted to punch him in the face.
Logan didn't provoke that reaction from me and I'm not quite sure why. Sure, he was exasperating but he didn't talk down to people in the nauseating Mattson way.
So I guess good acting? No other person from the show provoked such a viceral reaction from me.

Did we expect more from Marcia? Spoiler
Anyone else expect more of a storyline from Marcia? S1 had me thinking she would play a more prominent role but after S2, my suspicions of her waned as she sort of petered out. She wasn’t a true villain or redeemer and I felt like they let her fade into the background and emerge here and there for the family optics. I mean, the point of the show seems to be that no one’s a winner but my sense is they might’ve been able to develop her character arc a bit more but decided to bring on other guest stars. Perhaps it was intentional as it would be consistent with Logan’s treatment of former wives and partners.

Can we all agree that Succession has the best soundtrack of all TV?
This show isn't even in my top 5 (although it's in my top 10 for sure), yet I cannot say that I've ever heard such an amazing soundtrack. The main theme, strings con fuoco, you have to be a killer, Kendall's submit, and my favourite: Roman's beat. They're all so iconic and majestic. I literally cannot stop listening to them over and over again.

He’s a looker in his own right but is Tom’s head enormous?
Can’t help but notice how gigantic Tom / Matthew’s head is. When he does side-by-side shots with other characters is when I notice it the most. It helps that he’s tall but I can’t un-see the difference in size. He could easily pass as one of Eli or Peyton Manning’s brothers, too!

Why is Roman even considered the successor to the company?
What I cant wrap my head around is the fact that Roman is seriouslly considered the successor to the company. Like kendall said "You wouldnt even get a job at a burger shop" which is true. Like what could Roman possibly contribute to the company? He is just so fucking unserious in every single situation and he is going to lead a worldwide media company worth 70-100 billion???? Kendall and shiv are at least somewhat serious business wise (could be wrong).
This might be a dumb thought and I might have missed some points but yeah let me know what you think!

Trying to rank characters based on morality (I know a lot of people don’t like that, but personally I like doing it) but had trouble with Tom
I know this has been a topic with differentiating opinions but I wanted actual data of what the Succession community thinks

I just finished watching Season 4 Episdoe 8 (America Decides)
What does calling the election mean? How does ATN calling the election make Jeryd Mencken the President? Wouldn't the actual authorities counting and declaring give people the actual results, rather than the news channels?
I'm not from America, so not really sure about how that works.

I just started watching this show and am almost at the end of season 1. I read all the posts on here about Shiv and Tom's dog being locked up but damn if it don't piss me off every fkn time I see that pup just laying in that tiny fkn cage. Seems this has been touched on a few times....I know its just a show but 🤬🤬🤬😂(had to vent....sorry)

Why people always say Logan is evil?
I don’t get how everyone keeps talking about how evil Logan and Waystar is. For example, Greg’s grandfather, and Kendall in 3rd season.
It seems that all I see in Logan is wise, decent, and a good father. The only “bad” thing happened at Waystar is some minor harassment shit, which happens everywhere everyday, no big deal, and it’s not even directly related to Logan.

Else we’ll see you in court, dude
Does what Kendall says—“This is a deal so fucking good that you’ll have to take it, else we’ll see you in court”—to Lawrence even make any sense?
Yahoo offered $1B to buy Facebook.
Microsoft offered $40B to buy Yahoo.
Facebook wanted to buy Snap for $3B.
All deals were very good, yet they got rejected. None of the companies were taken to court. What is it about Vaulter that makes them any different? It’s a privately owned company and apparently majority of the shares are owned by Lawrence.
Has anyone actually seen this happen in the corporate world irl?
