Why?

When I hold my tiny level on the left side of the blade, it looks fine but when I told my tiny level on the right side of the blade, it doesn’t look level. I’m pushing the tiny level up against the blade with my finger so I know it’s not restingon the table saw table. I’m just confused why one side would say one thing and another side would say another. Is it just the cheap blade that came with it?

I've been searching online like crazy for this yet I can't seem to find it. My dad told me that it's a German screwdriver but I just can't seem to find the company. Thanks in advance for the help.

I use this blade on a handle every day 7x a day. Looking for the best way to sharpen it.

Upvotes

This is a winged scraper used to take urethane off of a pinch-weld of a car. I have a sharpening stone which works great. But I’m looking for a faster method. Wondering if a Dremel or a die grinder would work with some sanding attachments. I use this tool often and don’t want to take it to a stone every other day.

Isn’t this too much play?

Hi all, since I was tired to borrow a circular saw I’ve decided to buy one and because I’m a pretty basic user I didn’t buy a professional one. Today I’ve used it cutting 15mm plywood for some kitchen shelves, I’ve used it in the same ways I used the other, blade depth set correctly and with a straight piece of wood as a guide. The end result however was way less refined than what I’m used to. The cut seems wavy in certain point. While I was examining the saw I’ve noticed this play on the blade, the saw is new and it has its stock blade on. The old one was a basic Ryobi 150mm, this one is an Einhell with 165mm blade. Is it normal?

First time drilling into concrete (first time using a drill at all actually) any tips?

Upvotes

So for the first time in my life I am using a drill, I just bought it and I don't even know if I bought the right drill bit to go with it.

I tried to have a go a it and it barely made a dent at all. I am scared of applying force and breaking the drill or the drill bit and causing a huge mess. Looked up a few videos and tried to do the same thing they do and it is kinda not helping at all. Plus, while I bought the smallest drill bit they had, it looks like the drill bit is way bigger than the screw I'm eventually putting in the wall.

Any tips? I'm kinda just sitting here regretting my purchase.

Replacement parts for Maximum (Canadian Tire) cordless tools?

Upvotes

Hoping a fellow Canadian may have the answer. I have the Maximum brand 20v Lithium ion cordless tools, and used them for years already.

My 1/2" drill has a bad chuck and I was hoping to find a replacement chuck. Does anyone know what these are a rebranded model of? Or what replacement chuck might be compatible?

Tight on money and really hoping to keep this one going for awhile yet.

sweaty disposable gloves

Hello,

thank you everyone for answering my question.

My question is that have you had an issue with hands getting sweaty while using disposable gloves and what did you do to help it? Did getting a size or two bigger gloves help?

Thank you.

I need a tool to clean a 20ft long low to the ground deck

Trying to find something to clean under a really low low deck. At the furthest end there is almost no clearance and on the other there is about 2ft clearance. ideally I want a strong rake head that can go on a telescoping pole, but I cannot find a threaded rake head online. Any suggestions?

This is a curtain rod hanger and the space between the screw and the trim is so tiny I can't use a regular screwdriver or an angled one. Any ideas?

Tekton or Irwin?

Looking for advice on pliers. I only want to buy once and I’m aiming for pro-sumer grade quality, but realistically I’m more of a DIYer. I know a lot of you recommend mixing brands since each one does certain tools better—but budget-wise, I’m leaning toward a set for the value. Just trying to find one brand that’s solid across the board and good enough for everything I’ll need.

Ww1? I got this pickaxe from someone and they said it was. Though I have doubts... what are those markings?.. it seems like it was almost never used.. etc.

The slight use on the tip seems rather from someone having it accidentally dropped than actually used for digging etc.

Also if it was from ww1 it would have been from the italy-austria front.

Before i spend anymore money Reddit, please help me adapt an industrial air blow gun to a typical airbrush air compressor

As the title states, i have a typical airbrush air compressor (i do some hobby painting sometimes) that I've learned has a 1/8" bsp female connector on the end of it's hose.

Tired of spending money on canned air for things like cleaning my computer out and not satisfied with the portable air blowers one gets on Amazon, i thought to just get this air blow gun linked below and use that: https://a.co/d/f4hJa7t

Well, i got it and it has what I've also come to learn is a 1/4" npt female connector as well as it came with a 1/4" quick connector.

So, i thought, no problem, I'm sure someone makes 1/4" male npt to 1/8" male bsp or to 1/8" quick connect or something, but everything I've tried has failed.

The male to male adapters don't seal well into the blow gun connector and even putting an O ring doesn't give it a seal. Same with trying a 1/4" male to 1/8" female. All the connectors i find seem to be for pipe fittings and don't make a good seal for air, even though they screw all the way in...

Surely there has to be a way to adapt these things, right? I can't be the only person to think about doing this... What extremely obvious and dumb thing am i missing? I've already spent like $25 on adapters and an o ring kit and nothing has worked...

Thanks!
