Guys! Has anyone else noticed the clouds breaking? It's terrifying 😪 Gaijin, will you stop just fucking up things that are good? Now we have weird, transparent clouds... Also, I don't know about you, but since the last update the FPS sometimes fluctuates. I have a pretty powerful PC, but there are still jumps in the FPS. I also notice occasional micro-stuttering in the image, all of this since the last update. Not to mention the mat airfields, I made some strange landings today where the plane bounced around for no reason 🤣 I swear ..

anyone know how to move the targeting pod with a joystick and not move it with the mouse. its really bad when you have to go in the targeting pod view in VR and have to steer it by mouse and head. so any option to control it from the cockpit?

So I was chasing this MiG-21 for about 20 mins, I finally got visual and got on his 6 without him noticing. I'm not at home, so I'm using relative control on my mouse, as I don't have my HOTAS. I have no clue how he didn't notice me, but this guy was shooting down our teams A-10s so he had to go. I got lucky really.

I'm sure you all loathe the implementation of the telescopic sights in game, with it ending all situational awareness and making it near impossible to track targets. Well, I've just submitted a bug report to fix that! Show Gaijin that we want to fix the telescopic sights and make most interwar aircraft usable again!

So I was playing in a P-51 and I severely damaged a guy in a B-25, then, in the space of 10 seconds my teammate swooped in and both severely damaged and killed the same guy, this meant I was stuck with +1 to my kills as the guy I severely damaged had been severely damaged and killed again by another guy, and all I got was an ASSIST???
This very much seems like some sort of glitch or bug but idk, hence why I’m asking if any of you might know about it.

My homie and dedicated wingman wanted me to peep his new nose art and I decided to check his loadout too 😂

Please excuse if the video is a little bit scuffed, I don't usually record gameplay or replays but I enjoyed this little engagement with a Jaguar. This likely isn't the best example you'll ever see of a dogfight, but it was fun.

Was fucking around with the f14a iraif at 14.0 and pretty late into the match I had 6ish kills and all my teammates had died with a avg of 1 kill or less and I go to land and get this absolutely dick move handed to me followed by spawn camping with spammrams and then them running as soon I tried anything

Hello!
After a long break from War Thunder I've decided to jump back in but mainly for sim this time.
I have a Quest 2 and recently bought a steering wheel/pedal/shift (T300) and have been really enjoying driving sim games like euro truck and taxi life, my life is a bit too hectic rn to worry about being seriously competitive or grinding in games so these titles have been very enjoyable.
I've been looking at getting a VKB gladiator to experience the same in flight games like Elite and War Thunder. I'm mainly interested in doing ground attacks as they feel very fun to me and less stressful than dogfighting, though I will for sure try some air to air combat too.
My question is what are the most enjoyable BRs/planes for this type of gameplay? I have the US line fully researched except for the last few patches, so I have the F15e but am missing the hornets. I have Russia researched up to before the mig 29. I'm not opposed to buying premiums if there is one that is really good for ground attacks.
I'm mainly looking for planes and environments that give a fun and not too painful experience along with a decent variety of ordinance and systems, so mainly looking at jets. And importantly I will not be trying to find bot lobbies or begging to stay alive, even if I am focusing on ground targets I want to still be in danger and I don't expect other players to leave me alone.

Seriously, it's awful. And I don't even see people talking about the issues at all.
What Gaijin needs to do:
- Limit number of planes and helis to 10-20% of a lobby
- Limit planes, especially with CAS loadouts. Make them unavailable at the start of a match.
- Let you earn spawn points to spawn any plane or heli with CAS loadout, like in RB
I have had several matches where I was the only tank on the ground as well. 5-6 people in my team, all in planes and helis. This is BS, the whole mode is utterly broken and I can't understand how Gaijin lets that happen. What do you think?
Thanks for watching btw, if you watched the video, it's my usual ~30 min long format, guaranteed without unfunny memes and AI generated subtitles, just gameplay.

I've just been kicked from the game and chewed out by my team for this idiocy. My radar got stuck in TRK MEM mode and my missile pulled a 180 to hit a friendly. This is here as much to show an issue that the TRK MEM mode stays forever as it is that I hope my team see this and don't think I'm just out here TKing

I’m interested in this as it seems more immersive, I’ve tried it a little bit and the hardest part is not to TK someone lol.
For those that played it more, what’s your view on it?

The flavour of the month swings about from red to blue. Blue have had it good for a while, now red are mostly on top.
That's all cool and fine. What is not fun is when your team starts losing, and so the enemies swarm your airfields looking for kills.
Taking off while under multiple missile attacks is no fun at all, and leads to players leaving, which leads to further imbalance, further swarming, and the game rapidly ends.
To prevent this, it should be more difficult to circle around in enemy territory. There could be better SAM defences (and even ai interceptors?) in depth, so that pushing across the front line is increasingly dangerous the further in you go.
Also, in a not unrelated topic, I stopped playing 20 mins ago and I can still hear the RWR bleeping away ... o_0

So I now need to face a decision. Do you guys think I should get the german Mig 29‘s or the ICE and the EF? I don’t really know how good the 29‘s are since they aren’t the SMT they which is supposed to have really bad flight foight performance. At this point I don’t care what line grinds better, I just want to have fun Dogfighting(which the EF seemed to be pretty good at) and being stealthy (R27 ET‘s seem pretty fun). Now from my experience from uptiers to 14.0 in the F-15 J, top tier is more about who gets the missile in first/what team has the least amount of players, so I thought that the 12.7 base 29 should be a good pause if the 13.0 29 G gets uptiered, but idk.

I had an idea while reading an article about reconnaissance planes and pilots during WW2 that adding playable reconnaissance planes to the game would add a cool element to EC.
Recon planes during WW2 were often common air frames (Mustangs, Lightnings, spitfires, 109s, 190’s, and of course Mosquitos) modified for speed, range, and taking pics. This usually meant the getting rid of some or all of the weaponry to save weight for cameras.
To make them worthwhile they could highlight enemy planes on the map for the team, and earn points by spotting AI targets (like recon tanks in GRB).
Obviously this would apply to more modern planes as well. This would be a sim exclusive thing as it wouldn’t be as practical in AAB and ARB. Thoughts?

In a few planes the weapon sight is essentially out of view. Where do I find the height adjustment? On pc.
