Ask Windsor New garbage pick up
The new garbage pick-up company are they picking and choosing which garbage to take? There were a few cans left with garbage in them in our neighborhood. Maybe because they didn't have lids, could that be the issue?
Also, recycling they didn't take one of our bins full of recyling. It has never been an issue. It's not blue, but it's clear it's recyling. Maybe they thought it was garbage, but neither one took it 🤔

I've been consistently working with various municipalities and successfully completing multiple projects. However, I've found myself facing challenges in securing a stable, full-time position. Border Work remote two days in Windsor for US company?
Recently got an offer from a mid size company in Michigan, 1hr commute from Windsor. I'll be on TN engineer.
Initially the company agreed to allow me work from Windsor two days a week. But as the starting date approaches, company said it's a problem that I work remotely from Canada two days a week; and I can sense company is contemplating rescinding the offer. Company said if I work two days remote from a US address, that'll be fine.
Has anyone run into similar situations?
Thank you

News/Article Windsor Assembly Plant To Shut Down For 2 Weeks Following Trump’s Tariff Announcement

Production at Stellantis’ Windsor Assembly Plant will come to a halt for two weeks, according to Unifor Local 444.
The union announced they received notice from Stellantis on Wednesday evening. The shutdown will start on April 7th, 2025.
“While we had heard rumours of potential downtime, the company said there are multiple factors at play, with the primary driver behind the final decision being this afternoon’s announcement from US President Donald Trump of the U.S. tariffs,” said Unifor 444 president James Stewart in a social media post. “This has and continues to create uncertainty across the entire auto industry.”
“This is not just affecting our plant,” Stewart said, “it’s impacting facilities in the U.S. and Mexico as well.”

Ask Windsor Basement Flooding Protection Subsidy Program Inquiry
My basement flooded with 2–3 inches of water last night. I had to use a shop vac and manually dump the water into buckets at 3 AM… not ideal.
I’m looking into the subsidy for installing a backwater valve and sump pump (up to $3,500). Am I eligible? Is anyone eligible? Also, how does this differ from just installing a the backwater valve with a sump pump and disconnecting floor drains? I’m in the walkerville/downtown area.

Recommendations Indian food
I want to step out of my comfort zone and try Indian food.
I grew up pretty picky and in a pretty plain white family. I didn't even know tacos existed until my friends introduced me to them in high school.
Indian food is one cuisine I've yet to try because I'm intimidated.
Where in Windsor should I try Indian from and what dishes should I try as an introduction?
I'm good with spice. No seafood. Not interested in any meats other than Chicken, beef and pork. (Yes I know I'm picky. I'm working on it lol. I eat so many more items now than I did when I was younger)
