General Question/Discussion Do some of y’all have genetic ADHD?

Literally my mom, my sister, my niece, my nephew, and I all have ADHD as well as me and my mom having autism.

Edit: I’m more so talking about ADHD being a dominant trait (at least for my family)

Is there any other manifestation of ADHD? It’s like saying I am the only one in my family with freckles

There’s a whole lot of asshole wellness types who will say that anything from sugar to screen time causes ADHD.

My favourite is trauma causes ADHD. Gabor Mate. ADHD creates trauma! It can also create some great moments, but it’s generally a difficult brainwave pattern for most.

I mean, while we know ADHD is indeed highly genetic, that's not the case for all attributes. Most gay people don't have gay parents, for example.
