That follow-up barely counts for anything when it's used as an opportunity to humblebrag ("I'm a man on honor") and backtrack ("well ackshually Trump 2.0 is very different, other than that I was totally right, you know! ☝️🤓"). Nowadays I am finding it increasingly difficult to be forgiving of people who believe, trust, and worship Trump, especially after the decades of Trump proving himself to be an evil charlatan.

Yea if anything I view these types as being even dumber because tariffs were literally one of the major platforms Trump ran on. This dude was just so up Trump's ass he didn't want to believe him so he could own the libs or something equally as stupid. Trump says he'll do something, this dude says no way only the stupid libs believe that, Trump does the thing, and idiots like this are all like "OMG he did the thing he said he'd do"
