The few times I have looked at the conservative subreddit to see what they are posting, I noticed they are always name calling anyone they perceive as left wing - “libtards”, “stupid liberals” “idiot left wingers” etc. Its sad
Both liberals and leftists tend to support desegregation and lgbt rights though, which to a right winger makes them identical. This blinds them to any of the economic differences between liberals and leftists, but usefully for the rich it also blinds them to their own economic common ground with leftists.
Like if you actually talk to farmers and rural people (true rural, not suburbanites wearing overalls), if you get to talking about specific economic topics which they havent been spoonfed a buzzword about, you'll notice their views line up pretty closely with those of leftists. But rich people have them convinced otherwise. Its interesting.

Plenty of racism and specifically antisemitism in east block countries, the old USSR, China, etc.
farmers and rural people
Yea farmer cooperatives are fundamentally a leftist thing, but people tend not to see it that way because "leftist" and "progressive" get conflated about as much as "right wing" and "conservative".
Most leftists do not want that, the majority of people asking for economic reform also support gun control. Maybe the turbo LARPers do, but not the average lefty.
Those are liberals, who often aren't even left of center.
The people on the left are asking for socialism... not social democracy, not reforms, not better labor policy. I'm not talking about New Deal Democrats like Mr. Sanders. He only seems fringe from inside the bubble of US politics. In reality he's a left-leaning liberal.
Both ends of the spectrum: fascists and socialists want a heavily armed population.

"I was wrong on the tariffs..." but not about calling all of you "...(fairly stupid) partisans..."
