I firmly believe that it was the horcrux scheme that was his undoing. The soul is obviously the source of magical power in the HP universe so what happens when you split the soul into seven to eight parts and then those shards all get destroyed one by one?
You’re left with a mere fragment of the power that you started with.
At that point I’m convinced that a muggle could have waltzed on in and shanked him, no chosen one required.
Actually Voldemort got the scooby doo villain treatment after 7 books like idk how it was in the movie but the book just said potter said calmly: EXPELLIARMUS
The “said calmly” bit was a nice touch. Very nice. Very approachable too cause I think most people know what it is even if they haven’t read the books themselves.
The movie in which voldemort finally is self defeated is the greatest romance between a magically legal adult teenager and an 80ish man in one apparition sequence and the horcrux and black magic (that reforms his body from the grotesque babylike thingy to noseless human) actually has an undoing unlike in the book where his dark magicked body keels over. The movie has the last piece of voldemorts soul to beyond the veil in the department of mysteries though in hogwarts, and the dark magicked corpse mimics quirrells demise in the first movie/book except the corpse became as ash and disappeared on the breeze.
