Mourning I will never forget you

Toothless has been my best friend for 9 years and he lost his battle with Cancer yesterday afternoon. My heart is broken 💔

was he an indoor cat?

Yes, he had a couple of adventures outside, but he was definitely an indoor cat.

I wonder how so many cats are getting cancer, especially the indoor ones, who are exposed to less

Unfortunately, all living things will eventually develop cancer, given enough time. As cells get replicated over and over, the chances for a malformation get higher and higher. The reason you see more indoor cats with cancer is because their life expectancy is much longer than that of an outdoor cat. Outdoor cats are more likely to succumb to injury, infection, or disease before they have the chance to develop cancer.
