Apparently nothing major, she had a fever, wasn't eating a lot neither was drinking much water, which for cats it's a big deal. So I decided to take her to the vet and she thought it was better to hospitalize her until tomorrow just to be on the safe side. She was medicated, I went home and she was left there. Since the moment the vet told me she would have to stay, I cannot stop crying. I'm just so anxious and concerned... Please, share your stories in which your cats needed hospitalization and ended up fine! Send good energy to her, please! She's the sweetest little baby, I love her so much...

I recently learned about rabies and it freaked me out.
There is this outdoor cat that I have and she roams around the neighborhood a lot. None of us really own her but she often comes to my house for food. In my area the only risk are stray dogs and we don't have animals such as raccoons. I haven't seen any signs on the cat but I am afraid if it might happen in the future. No, the cat is not vaccinated and I don't plan on doing it. What should I do? Should I be afraid?

I got some cheap cat grass containers but when he's eating the grass he pulls up the entire lid and then it just becomes a mess of roots and seeds. I'm hoping the lid on the Catit 2.0 will stay put? They mention on their description that it's a new design- any cats have any experience with it?

Other than that, what works? I tried planting in soil years ago but he pulled them up, granted it wasn't very deep soil but still..

I personally DO NOT agree with declawing cats. I have 3 cats and with the first one I was very little and he's not my cat so he was declawed (my family didn't know anything about it) and my second one got declawed, even though I didn't want him to, my third cat is NOT getting declawed I am standing up for him.

Controversial opinion but declawing cats in inhumane and cruel. Image ripping our toenails off and leaving us in the hospital alone overnight just to be in pain for a long time.

I understand your furniture but if you really that concerned get covers/guards or just don't get a cat or don't get expensive fancy furniture. Your cat doesn't deserve that

Hi everyone, I am a first time cat owner and have 2 kittens, 5 and 6 months old. I keep seeing people say I would know if my cats had diarrhea or not but I’m still not entirely sure. Are these clumps normal? In the first image, those are two separate clumps. Sort of flatter. Second image the left clump is sort of rounder like a puck. We’re using arm and hammer clump and seal slide. We’ve had our first vet visit and so far everything is okay, but we’re unsure on diarrhea or not. Thank you.

How the heck do you give it to your cat? I have the cat inhaler that you insert in the feline aerosol chamber. Every time I try to put it over his mouth/nose he freaks out and shakes his head back and forth. I feel like holding him tightly and forcefully for it just cancels out the benefit of the inhaler.. :/ also, how long do you keep it over their mouth/nose? The most I can keep it on him is like 5 seconds.

my boyfriend is super sensitive (he says) to the smell of our new cats litter. he’s not an animal person but we agreed on a cat. i have the litter box in our bedroom now and i do have a closet that i’m going to put his litter box into. the only issue is i have NO IDEA what litter i can use to get rid of the smell. i already scoop every day but please help

TLDR 3 bonded outside cat siblings, 7 months old, 2 boys and one girl, will they try to mate soon? (i think it’s better to read though!)

There’s 3 ‘stray’ cats that hang around our house that are about 7 months of age. we’ve been taking care of them, they have their own little house which was a storage space we cleaned out for them, including a cover that keeps it warm inside for the winter, beds, food and water and some toys. we feed them everyday twice a day; mostly cat food but sometimes leftover meat which we rinse and cut up and then give to them.
They’ve been here since they were little and we know their mom as she also hangs out around the house. They are all friendly and they know us and are not scared or anything.

It’s two boys and one girl, and still now at 7 months of age they’ll sleep in the same bed (if they fit, they’ve gotten bigger) groom each other and play with each other and chase each other around and stuff. it’s mostly the two males who play but sometimes the girl joins also (she loves humans more). They spend most of their time together. One of the male cats is a little more shy, but meows really loudly when his siblings aren’t around. I’m no expert, but I think that means they’re bonded, which while really cute, now raises the question, will they try to mate with each other?

I haven’t seen any behavior from them yet that indicates they wanna do that to each other but, they are not neutered or anything. Only the girl has been to the vet and that’s because she got hit by a car, she had surgery but nothing to prevent her from getting pregnant.

English is not my first language so I kinda had a tough time figuring out what words to use here, not exactly sure what the procedures to prevent cats from mating are called but do you believe they’re necessary? since they are outside cats and i don’t have a lot of money for vet bills let alone for 3 cats I am not sure what to do.

My cat gave birth yesterday to a single kitten, we were waiting for the others to be delivered since her stomach still seemed bumpy, but nothing came out, I took her to the vet this morning and he claimed that she has no more kittens in her.

She stays by her kitten’s side for ~20min at a time, then gets out of her nest and keeps meowing frantically, especially at people when she sees them and starts following them like she wants/is looking for something, and when I stop by her nest she stops meowing and goes back to nursing her kitten until I leave and the cycle repeats

She doesn’t seem to be in-need of food or anything, what’s the matter with her meowing? She’s usually calm and barely vocal.

this is my baby who personally came out of my uterus and vagina. she’s 5? i don’t know i bought her on craigslist for 6 dollars. shes currently 18-19 pounds

i feed her the normal amount needed, maybe even a little less. my dad leaves out dry food throughout the day because he “can’t stand their meowing (my other cat)” because the other one will meow your ear off. but i told him i’m getting rid of the dry food because it’s just unnecessary, i feed them 3-4 times a day depending how much food i give (which is not a lot) and they have a running water fountain.

she’s barely active, she doesn’t play with toys that much and when she does she’s not running or jumping, wand toys don’t do too much.

i even bought those automatic toys that run the string underneath the tarp like sheet, even makes mouse noises. she just watches it intently for hours, maybe paws at it every 20 minutes. is she stupid?

This is Mooch, my landlord’s cat. I was informed that Mooch is not very friendly and has swatted at people before. Mooch is an outdoor cat (heated barn she resides in not shown in the video). Whenever I come home and Mooch is around, she’ll start meowing at me. Usually she meows at a distance and runs off if I try to get closer. Today she decided to walk towards me and actually cut me off when I tried to give her space and walk around her. She sometimes allows a distant sniff. What does this cat want from me?
