When 3.7 sonnet was released, I got a pro subscription. I was pretty impressed with 3.7 sonnet. It was cool, however, I stopped using it because I don't rely on AI to make games too much. However, today I wanted to make a website for my game, so I went on cursor, and asked 3.7 sonnet. The quality of response really declined. At first, it gave me a very basic skeleton of the website, which looked pretty bad to be honest, but upon prompting it further, it just gave me errors. Now, there wasn't an issue with my prompt, It was very detailed. And I tried different things, but I just gave up eventually. I don't really blame the cursor team as I understand that the costs are high, however, I'm debating switching to windsurf, as I heard they released their new V4 update or something like that. Is this a bug? What's happening?

I noticed that when using thinking mode on Claude-3.7, it never thinks longer than 6 seconds. In most cases, it is actually 4-5 seconds. This makes no sense especially given that it is charging 2x fast requests. Is there a hard limit on how long it can think? Asking for devs' response

What is the deal with rules getting ignored? I want two rules on every prompt at all times. The first rule is to not implement any code until I approve the step by step plan. The second rule is to only modify code in the context. For some reason the rules work sometimes and then they start getting ignored so I’d like to know why is this and how to prevent them from getting ignored

I can totally accept slow requests that take 1-2 minutes but guys I'm giving you 20$ a month, I'd at least like to be able to USE what I'm paying for lol

You should work on the implementation of gemini 2.0 flash on the agent mode, Lovable, Bolt etc they all use it and it's insane that you are not, it would make so much more place for everyone.

I have never seen this from cursor so I thought I would post for others interest. Are you okay Auto? (not sure what model). The AI's might need some holiday leave after all?

Tried several ways to describe the commands I want it to auto run it just doesn’t work. Finally I gave up and pasted the exact same command and it STILL DOESN’T WORK!!!! How do I get this shit to work???!!

Today I'm running into this weird issue, im using sonnet 3.7 and having the issue with regular, MAX, thinking, and non thinking. I'm not sure if the issue exists with non 3.7 or even non anthropic models because I haven't tried them.

What it's doing is successfully responding to me, doing what i wanted it to do really well, naturally ending the conversation, then carrying on the conversation with me as an imaginary person asking for more stuff.

Example:

And then it started heavily modifying code. That conversation i just copied is not something i asked for and completely irrelevant to my previous request or anything we'd talk about, it just put in an imaginary user who wanted to handle DDOS protection and started making huge edits to my, then when it was done the user was like THANKS and asked for more stuff and it was just making code edits into infinity.

This has happened multiple times now since yesterday, across multiple projects, new chats, etc. It's destroying me in tokens too since i was mainly using MAX when this happened and the fake user asks for a ton of stuff and edits lol. I clicked thumbs down and typed my issue with a few of the responses but its happened several times.

Hi, the chat suddenly breaks off as soon as it tries to call any tools, across several projects. I'm on pro plan with much more to go. Has anyone experienced this and found a fix? thanks so much

It freezes up whenever i open any project in cursor, I reinstall it (it's latest version), cleared project history, disabled every extension but still.
It's mac 15.4 Beta and it's latest version of cursor IDE 0.47.

It seems like mcp servers break claude models completely? You infinetely get unable to reach anthroponic error. Is Cursor team aware of that?

I am having a hard time figuring out why codebase search no longer works. I initially thought it was a bug, but saw someone on Cursor forums saying they removed support.

Anyways, right about now I'd really like to go back to 0.45. I love Cursor, and I think the best thing the team could do is revert all 0.46 changes and rethink the next update. I get what they were going for, but the mark was missed. I'm not going to pile on 0.46 hate, I'm sure the team knows, I just don't get why they would remove the codebase search.

It feels like Claude sees the lint errors from before the code edit is actually applied.

Seems that things that make NO SENSE just absolutely send claude into a tailspin - for example getting a simple lint error after correctly fixing it.

Very high chance it will say "ok let's try another approach" and rewrite the entire code.

It keeps going in circles, I can't look away from the IDE anymore and trust it to do the right thing.

The only time it doesn't pop up is if i select a max model. What the hell is this. Anyone else experiencing / know a fix?

The agents work correctly, and then at one component, it gives an error like that, and instead of continuing, it stops and does nothing, so it wastes the request and does not complete the fu*king code.

Whats wrong with cursor claude today? just yesterday it was on gegachad mode as usual but since today it cant even change width of card properly
how to fix? never was like that
