As someone who worked produce at QFC for a few years, about 1/3 of the tomato packages like this had an unacceptable amount of mold. Mind you, not THIS bad, but like half of the contents of the bad ones were inedible.

I used to work the produce department at a walmart, we had the same issue. Strawberries, blueberries, and the like, too. I swear you could have a perfectly good pack, blink, and suddenly have a mold bomb.
