Asking Question (Rule 4) what is this style called?

it kind of just popped up a couple years ago and i keep seeing it. i know it's not very specific, but it's always some bright pastel color, semi minimalist, the packaging always has a matte finish, and usually a goofy or wavey font.

I would describe it as minimal design with matte print. I really like it especially on packaging because, even though minimalism has been very popular for years, packaging is still dominated by super crowded, busy designs - not tasteful ones either, just way too much text.
