How much do you spend per month for living?
How much should I expect to spend in a month if I want to leave off campus?

Hello Revolutionaries,
As tensions on campus and within our Reddit community continue to rise, we want to remind everyone of the importance of adhering to our community rules. This space must remain free from hate and derogatory behavior.
We will be more vigilant in moderating this year, and any violations of our rules will be addressed firmly. We expect all members to act with common courtesy and respect towards one another. Disregarding these standards could result in bans being issued more frequently.
Please make thoughtful choices and maintain kindness as we navigate the academic year together. Let’s continue to support each other and contribute positively to our community.
Raise high.

Hello there, I have applied for the master's in business analytics and I would like to know where to find the exact details for Employment rate after graduation, Average salary after graduation. and would it matter much if I get into other top Universities for the same course? because the salary after graduation looks very similar to the others.
Any additional information on this course from a student doing the same course would be really helpful.

I still have 72 meal swipes, and I wanted to get rid off them so they aren't wasted when the semester ends. Does anyone have any ideas or is there a way I can just give people some of mine?

Hi, everyone! I’m currently in 11th grade with a 3.0 GPA, and I’m starting to think about college. I’ve been looking at George Washington University (GWU) and I’m curious if my GPA would be competitive enough for admission, especially with the weighted GPA considered.

Recently one of my top choices for college was GWU unfortunately I was waitlisted for time being, I chose GWU because of their programs and location. I need help on what to do next and any suggestions that you guys did that helped with getting accepted.

Hi! I am a graduating GW undergrad trying to find a place to sublease over the summer (may 15 or June 1 until August 1 with some flexibility). I would prefer to sublease someone's studio or 1 bedroom but would live with roommates if needed (but I do work from home most days of the week)! Looking for something under $1600/month if possible but I have some flexibility!

Admitted to gwu + $23k scholarship. Thought this was really amazing but looking online it seems like a lottt of people get this scholarship. Is this actually offered to the “competitive applicants” or did they gives this out to most people.

I finalized my application for the VBSN program on Feb 21. They sent an email saying that it was going to take 4-6 weeks to get a response back but it’s been 6 weeks and I still haven’t gotten a response.
For those who got accepted, how long did it take to get a response?

Hello guys!
I'm a graduate student attending GW in the fall to do their M.S. in Applied Psychology program and I just wanted to see if anyone else got into the program.
I know we're the first cohort of students for the M.S. in Applied Psychology program and I wanted to make friends! I also wanted to ask if anyone knows how many students are going to be in the program? And/or how selective it was?

After admitted students day, I'm now definitely leaning towards UMD, so either make me love GW and ditch UMD, or make me hate GW saving me from 4 years of misery. Finances( Tuition + Housing + Food + Mabdatory Fees - Scholarships): UMD will be $53,410 per year while GW will be $60,020 ( 58k with subsidized loan). I trust my famiky when they say they wouldnt let me apply to UMD if they didnt think they could cover OOS tuition. However, I may challenge GWs need based aid if you guys set me against UMD. Living Learning Communities: UMD in Carillon, GW in University Honors living on Mt. Vernon instead of Foggy Bottom. Academics: UMD in BSOS as Econ Major, BS track. Broad academic focus with econometrics, policy, analysis, labor being strong focuses. GW in Arts and Science, porbably Econ. More focused in niche areas like policy, inter national trade, urban and environmental, with space and technology sticking out as niche focuses. Job and Internship Placement: Both of these schools are similar for Econ placement ( consulting, government, financial services, research) though UMD places many students who took quant classes into data science and tech ( though I don't think I'm interested in this yet) Pre-law: Actually, the more I learn how stressful, competitive, and expensive entering law is the less I'm considering it as a career. Anyway, UMD and GW with have reputable advisors, but UMD's pulled that connection with the LSAT prep guy and offers discounted courses.

Hello, GWU grads & alumni 😄
I have Admits from:-
George Washington University-MS Data Science(18000$ Scholarship)
university of Texas at Dallas-ms Artificial Intelligence & Business Analytics(50% Scholarship
University of Houston-MS Data Science(50% Scholarship)
when I had an estimated calculation for GWU which includes Tuition fee + Health insurance + Cost of Living with an approx 800-900$ was rounded up to 68,200$. Is GWU worth the fees compared to UTD costing around 59000$, UH costing around 40000$ for 2 years?
how good is MS DS GWU in terms of Reputation, on-campus job opportunities, peer to peer quality, full-time roles post masters in Washington DC, Baltimore, Virginia area?
Also, What's it like to live in Washington DC, Is it fun or depressing?
would love to hear your thoughts and experiences!!!!

Hey! I’m from India and I’ve got an admit for the Rehabilitation Counseling program under GSEHD. If you’re joining this fall too, shoot me a DM—would love to connect!
My kid just got accepted to GW (yay!) for CompSci and we're wondering about how the three-campus system works. We live north of DC and, to my mind, the idea of moving between Loudon County and downtown DC without owning a car reads like a grim joke. What's the actual, normal, typical way that students use that satellite campus?
Are all the CompSci classes out there, and is it considered typical that a freshman would live at Foggy Bottom (or somewhere in the city) and commute out to the satellite campus for all their CompSci classes? Are the classes all held via Zoom? Do freshmen in CompSci just get apartments out in Loudon and pay local rent?
Trying to figure out how a University like GWU makes a seven-building "campus" part of a freshman's day to day life, and the more I read the more skeptical I'm becoming.

My kid is complaining that she got her GW ID and her email address on April 1 but they never sent access to the roommate-matchup website. Anyone had success with that? He email/password don't work to log in.
